I decided to start a thread just of my own for my stuff, kind of like Orthanc's in the Civ 3 section (actually he has inspired me alot .)

Anyways, here you go.

As I have had quite a few request, request here, plus I will try to keep this updated with what I am working on etc (I am kinda lazy you know, so this may get shuffled to the end of the list with nothing new. :p )

I will work at getting what I have done in this first post (everything, including my first horrible attempts at anything).
But I thought I would post it first so that if my computer shut down or
something I would not have to retype all this.

Hello,

Why don't you open a library in the "Units Graphics" Forum...? This forum is for discussions only...

Yes, but I figure since I have done more than just units.. (just a little other stuff though, but I have more to upload). And since this isn't really a "unit" per se..

Not much yet for a few reasons. :p

1. Played a bit of IP MP with a friend yesterday and didn't have a chance to get a lot of idea pics and
2. Just got BTS, so you may have to wait a few days. :P

That reminds me, I saw they SotL in BTS and it kinda looks funny, going to have to do something about that I figure.

hi matt, enjoy your units!! played bts myself and was bumbed that they didnt have an essex class cv for the WWII mod for the pacific....i think thats a unit that is really needed.....otherwise great work and cant wait to see what else you have instore

So is that a request. ;)
I will see what I can do..

awesome!! im a huge naval buff and have followed your naval mod closely....i really like the russian ships you have done and look forward to what ever else you come up with

Battleship?... Infantry elite unit my friend!

As an elite unit, one should think about the famous canadian VAN DOOS (infantry special unit), and its leader Paul Triquet! At the beginning, it was only a battalion amongst others, but the heroic and even epic actions got them the Victoria Cross and the "legion d'honneur" after WW1 (Paul Triquet - only two received these highest marks of recognition during the 1st WW for the canadian army, rarely given to foreign soldiers at that time). Thus they became an elite force, renamed "Royal" so as to emphasis their bravery (elite crown battalions were renamed Royal, and they were the only canadian unit to be renamed as such, for true heroism, bravery and efficiency)...

Yes, they would be something I really would enjoy doing! I have been experimenting extensively with NifViewer (For myself) and am getting very comfortable with it. So may not be so hard anymore. :P
Do you mean only two Canadians got the VC, or the other medal? I figure you mean the other one as I am sure we had a few more VC's and we were not really foreign (More British than the Yanks).

Not at all pretentious, nice work!!!

How about one that is a small flotilla of the old Pegasus class hydrofoils (say 2 ships)

Added to the list. ;)

You said you needed inspiration for the future era ships, how about this little boat Neomega made years ago for Civ3:
th_LaserDestroyerPreview.gif
note that the laser attack on that ship isn't how I want it to end up in your ships your going to make.

Ah I was about to look for that image you posted before thanks!

I am hoping to give here a whirl in a day or so..

Could you (If there was one) please post the civelopedia pic? That would help a lot..

Thank you! That should help a ton! (A bit bigger for details and such).

There you go, done the laser thing I think.

Onto the Xebec.

I have a request: a xebec to serve as the flavor frigate for the Arabs, Ottomans, Egyptians, Carthagenians, and Persians.

xebec1.JPG

Xebecs were very common in the Mediterranean between the 1600-1850's, and functioned in much of the same role as Northern European frigates.

Oh yeah.. Yeah I can do that if you want. I had fun with this one. :)

Okay... I hope I'm right on this (correct me if I'm wrong)...

I believe these to be buttons of Matt's work... if I snuck one in that isn't Matt's, my apologies... I've been on a button-making craze, and I sometime lose track of which button belongs to which author.

Anyways, these buttons are for six units (which I think) are Matts:

Highlander British Infantry
Paddle Steamer transport
Ironclad Cruiser
Ironclad Battleship
Canopus Class Pre-Dreadnought
Hood Class English Battleship
