Generic Vacation Thread

Nor would you want too. ;D

Man, I was supposed to go to Paris this summer, and I was so thrilled to actually have a legitimate reason to use this thread.

However, the airline tickets sold out! Gah.

Next year...

@LF- Ouch.

@Nuke- You seriously did? I was here almost all summer. Where did you visit, or was it just a stopover to Alaska?

What the CRAP!?!

I hiked Mt. Katahdin this last weekend! On Saturday, actually.

Unbe-freaking-lievable.
I was there on the afternoon of Sunday the 5th and hiked up the morning of Monday the 6th. We used the Hunt trail on the way up because we had a sixty year old chappie with foot problems, and we came down through the Saddle.

Weather was excellent on Monday morning, too, and we got some great pictures, almost all of which have something that would allow you to easily identify me (so nothing doing ;)).

Wow, we used the Hunt (or AT) trail too. (Both ways, though, since descent down Abol = death. :p) Wasn't all that hard.

I wanted to do Chimney Lake, since I'd done most of that trail two years ago, but all the fanatics from Maine who got here at 4 AM got all the spots.

GG'ed.

We got up at about that time (0400ish), so it was pretty easy sailing, especially weather-wise. Our group even met a through hiker who was almost finished. There was absolutely no fat on her body at all - it looked sort of scary.

I've been back for a week, actually. Not like my internet access was impeded while I was away...

Yeah, I asked if he knew any teens who were obsessed with Penguins, but he gave me a funny look.

Next time I go (?), I'll hold up a sign that either says Nuclear kid or Lord Iggy

Yukon is... how should I put this...quite... BIG.

You might as well hold up a sign with his real name.

or canada411 his last name. (depending on which parent its listed under, of course.)

Or just tell me and I'll organize a meeting somewhere.

@j_eps- Well, it's bigger than any country in Europe, other than Russia and Ukraine. But almost all of the population is in the city of Whitehorse, which is only slightly larger than Liechtenstein.

And yeah, a lot of people have figured out my real name by now. JD, BananaLee, and j_eps for sure. I don't even see why I worry, because someone would have to be a very dedicated stalker to hunt me down.

I know too, Alex ;)

As you wish Alex ;)

I must say that a moose assassin would be very inconspicuous anywhere in Canada. Polar Bears, slightly more so, outside of Manitoba.

There was one that flung itself infront of my family's van... we dodged it though. I don't think they're the most adept assasins.

Yeah, I know it as well, it was pretty easy to find you on the CWG site. ;)

I could if I felt like it, but I am probably one of the furthest NESers from you in North America. If I ever feel like a road trip though, I'll send you a wave.

not only was it on the CWG site, but it had a picture and limited biography (including the bad break)

It doesnt get much easier.

Yeah, being an amateur athlete and announcing it makes secrecy more difficult.

j_eps did make an incorrect guess once, but he figured it out soon after. Ryan Bachli? :p
