genius here forgot to save gotm4

brains that i am i forgot to save my gotm4 before starting another game and therefore lost the autosave. its not super important as i got thrashed but i'd like to keep my string of miserable showings in civIV intact. i do have the replay file (at least i think i do). is there anything i can do? thanks

If you have a very recent save that you can replay the last few turns from then you can do that. Otherwise sorry, but you're out of luck. Autosaves are easily wiped if you start a new game, so it takes only a second or three to hit Save at the end of the game to create a manual save that will survive.

We make minimal demands on GOTM players, but I think it's reasonable that we ask you to provide us with your final save.

Me too even if I could never submit the game anyway: I choose adventurer despect of my position (top half) and experience (already played on that level) and I've lame reloaded many times.
Alan (or Ainwood) is better for you submit a 25 score game or skip it at all?

If you played Adventurer having scored in the top half, or if you have reloaded then your game is not valid and you should not submit.

If you have played a valid game then it is better to submit a low score than not to submit, as your Global Ranking is based on your average score over the last nine games. If you don't register a score for some of those games then your average is reduced.
