Link fixed.
http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=7790

It's linked to the version SHAWDOW_XIII uploaded. Thanks.

I think that's the latest BTS 4.2 version. The private maps folder has the following files:

attachment.php

We still need the file for the Warlords and Vanilla versions. Please upload here if you have it.

hi, ok from the last few games i have played, i think certain nations need less good area´s or they rule too much.

Etiopians and Incans, both rule each game i play at the moment. One i played as American, i had to wipe out the Sioux before they got Archers and Dogsoldiers, because they would have killed me and then found Incan was wiping out about everyone else quickly, so must be earning to much and having too good territory and in Africa Etiopians had devastated all africans and was jumping the middle east and europeans, when i meet the first europeans the Etiopians had like 5 or 6 vassals.

now as Romans, i have all of europa more or less, Etiopia got like almost all of africa and like 5 or 6 vassals and just meet americans and all the rest there and Inca have like all of south america and all nations there is incan vassals :)

etiopia and incans seems to do this every game and no one around them seems able to stop them, also americans, unless played by a player, will never be able to make it, due to lack of all items of importance. Perhaps give them a horse nearby washington, as iron and copper is so far away for them.

A quick question

Based on people's experience, what are the system requirements to run this map at a decent rate? are RAM and processor speed the only factors? I run a Core2Duo at 2.0 Ghz with 2gb RAM and the beginning is running fine, although I had the game crash a couple of times for bad memory allocation. I just don't want to get somewhere in midgame and wait 15 min. for each turn to end...

For the record if it helps that question, I had played Carters Earth map at 32 civs, and by the early 1900s I had to wait about at least 2-3 minutes in between turns and sometimes the graphics went all translucent on me at times.

I have a AMD 64 X2 (duel cores) 6000+ at 2.6Ghz and 2GB of RAM. So I imagine later in the game you will run into some problems, especially if you are a person who has very little patience.

Problem solved

Question: Does taking a whole bunch of vassalls early in the game help speed up the AI turns later in the game around the Industrial/Modern era (assuming you are all at peace)?

Has anyone tried to alter one of the Worldbuildersaves and had the game crash when trying to load the map? It does it every time... I only removed some civs, both there description and numeric orders. Should I fill in the missing numbers or something?

Sorry, just realized the stupidity of my actions, all one has to do is change Playableciv=0... I believe Ghenghis advised somebody to play the Warlords map or vanilla, but for those of us interested in BTS with fewer civs, that's the way!

Hi I play Warlords on Mac with the new v2.13. This Earth map looks great, and I'd like to try it! I can't seem to download this map. I get the following msg when I click the download link:

Warning: copy(./downloads/97403-giant_earth_map.zip) [function.copy]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /downloads.php on line 706
ERROR: File not found.

Yes, there is a problem with all the downloads again. Thats weird, because I've made sure the download works yesterday. But I have to re-up it tonight as I am not at home.
