Any comments on tudaio´s apparent absence?

I noticed it was on him for most of the weekend. I was busy with the family all weekend but just sent him a friendly reminder email this morning, hopefully he will respond back and get us moving again soon.

Huh, PBEM Tracker doesn´t seem to accept my save for some reason and I don´t have the email-address of this new loan guy.

I just checked the Demographics Screen, and guess what, the Life Expectancy in the Sumerian Empire is the highest of all the world! Also it is the third biggest and the Approval rate is the third highest. Funnily I have the smallest population of all, but that may be due to my recent crack of the whip.

Also I´ll be unable to play for the whole next week, Saturday to Saturday, so who wants to replace me?

OK - received the save, played it but ... seems that I have a problem too with PBEM tracker site :(.

Anyone could me provide via a private message the email address of the next guy ( tdy99 ) ?

Best regards !

I just emailed you tdy99's email address and copied him on the email. I'm not sure why PBEM tracker isnt working - Mitiu I noticed you changed your in-game name, which needs to match whats on PBEM tracker. I tried to make it match but it must not have matched exactly so I'll try again when it gets around to me, that could be the issue.

Knoedel - I can do your turn for you if you'd like, you should only miss 1-2 turns at most. I volunteer myself because I have seen your empire in the past so your secrets wont spread too far. Plus I am on an island and likely wouldn't be able to get to you for at least another 200 turns or so... which in this game is about 4 years

Just send me a PM with your pw and any instructions youd like me to carry out...

OMG I feel like such a Goof (my appologises to Tudaio for not recognizing you as a player here ) but I thought this reference was where is Tudaio in Imp. Knoedel's story?
and I re-read 3 times trying to figure it out YIKES!!

I have the turn and will post it in a bit (downloading BTS patch via WiFi)

What kind of agreements could you possibly negotiate if you don´t even have Writing or (presumably) trade connections?
Also the chat in the diploscreen doesn´t seem to work, I tried it several times with my neighbors and nobody seems to be able to see my messages. Therefore we should better conduct our communication in this forum.

Is that why, I was asking him in my own tongue a question which I thought was clear but he kept giving me food and smiled. So we must not be enemies. So how is I understand this? Should I give you some food too :D

Ugh, see that is what you get from not playing a Creative leader, while we, the great cultured nation of Sumer, are much more civilized and communicative. You should see our cave paintings and lines in the sand, real state-of-the-art artwork, not to mention our sophisticated language leading among other things to beautiful songs and clear communication while negotiating. I could also go on about our painted wool and our increasing skills in Pottery, but I think the message is clear even without naming the great Epic of Gilgamesh which has been orally passed down from generation to generation for almost a millennium now.
And yes, I am quite hungry, what could you offer me?

Anyone interested in an explanation of the current Sumerian form of government btw? I think that knowledge might come in handy with the coup d'état-plot I´m planning.

Cheers.

Knoedel I LOVE hearing all about the Sumerians and their various struggles and victories...

The Sumerian Empire is not really that, but is actually ruled by the people´s council that consists to one third of randomly chosen citizens of Uruk that get switched out every year or so, to one third of elders possessing the entire knowledge of the the known world (which isn´t actually as impressive as it sounds considering we just entered the bronze age) having their seat for the rest of their lives and the last third being the delegation from Eridu whose members switch out on an irregular basis depending on the number of willing replacements traveling to Uruk. Its meetings publicly take place in the Gilgamesh Palace whenever something of importance has to be discussed. Every council member bears the title of Gilgamesh (that guy´s kinda popular around here) and has one vote on any given issue.
Originally the people´s council was just to be a temporary measure created until Gilgamesh´ last living relative, his daughter Attarah, comes back from her trip to the then nomadic future settlers of Eridu. Things changed however with the message of her death filling our nation´s hearts with grief, the general consensus was either the line of Gilgamesh rules us or we do.

So there, my last post before my vacation I guess.
