GoobNES01: Fallout [Third Thread]

OOC: short of someone using 2,000+ nukes I believe we are safe, no reason for nuclear winter of anything of that sort. And larger nukes should be better, since it means fewer explosions, and thus less shock to the Earth Core.

Chaking the earths core isn't a problem. Nuclear winter is when to much ash and radiation are in the air, causing problems. Since the ash and radation have settled we should be able to use nukes. Goober, I think, is incorrect. Only if the nuke would, without any other explosion (Like WW3), cause nuclear winter would it matter. The earth quickly restabilizes itself.

To stormies MSN- We should talk more about it, i don't really understand it.

Technically, we should be in nuclear winter right now, considering the amount of radiation that was released in 1962. We should all be having third arms and such, and mutated babies, especially American and Russia. Radiation doesn't last long in geological terms, only about either 1,000 or 10,000 years.

[unrelatednote]I dont know why you all didnt disband in 62-64 when I was Japan. The UN and Japan pwned back then.... and I had huge fusion energy projects lined up.[/unrelatednote]

Give up your nuclear weapons period, they just make for an unfun NES anyways, and there is no real need for them. And even if nations were attacked in real life they would not jump to the nuclear gun so soon either. if 17/62 actually happened it would have destroyed the earth or rather killed off humanity.

*sigh*

yes Panda, and if you note I didnt use nukes even though war was declared on me as I want to save humanity. Although there are others who do not understand the consept that we are supposed to be role playing and treat this as a strategy exercise in which a nuke is just another weapon and human casualties are a statistic, and so we need to have the means to retaliate, and thus keep nukes

yes, like sheep. yes, i said his name but everyone knows sheep would do it.

Anyway, the world is stabilized. We should be able to nuke people again. Shaking the Earths core is a silly superstition anti-nuclear activists said before we tested the bomb.

And you can clean up radation Insane Panda. People are inhabiting Hiroshima non-effected.

Very well, everyone nuke the phillipines. :mischief:

I only repeated what I heard from Goober, and since Goober is the mod (and wants the NES to end so that he can have a rest and start a new nes) we need to play by his rules.

You guys should talk to Goober about the use of bigger nukes somehow destroying the world, as I know nothing of the subject.

*sniff* such a sad sad world. Someone really needs to make a missle sheild, or some nanobots to destroy all trace of nuclear weapons.

You want to save humanity? You're kidding me right?

I suppose I could make an exception of the Japanese and nuke you if you would like

I pleased that under no circumstances would I nuke anyone and particularly when I only have 10 small yield tactical nukes for use if the Russian Army or anyone else tries to mount a proper invasion. One nuke in the middle of the army and presto, no army. But under no circumstances will the United Islamic States deviate from the Abbas Statements of the 1970's stating that the United Islamic States will not use nuclear weapons on civilian targets nor will they strike first with nuclear weapons against such targets.

Now if you think I can end this world with 10 nukes I will laugh.

My two cents is that nuclear winter takes a real lot of nukes. Which is why '62 didn't end the world. Its way too big. Incidentally, a nuclear war WOULD however have screwed up many industrial centers and that would have been to the benefit of such nations as USSR where agriculture was not very industrialized and thus more self-dependant. People would have returned to the villages and the farms for a while, and later would have rebuilt it all.

And mutated babies with third arms, as is perfectly well-known, are either stillborn or die young. At best there will be some of them like Siamese Twins.

Yes but armies do have spearpoints.

same stuff hey.

Das, look at the starting map. All of America was nuked, and a lot of Russia. I believe thats around the area of 3948724875254 kilotons. It's enough to start a nuclear winter, or a Fallout style scenario anyways.
