Goonie, CivGeneral and DaveMcW - Round 1

[Goonie]

The game started out with 5 players. Goonie, CivGeneral, DaveMcW, Amorphus, and Chieftess.

Amorphus and CT had to go. We all think CT was just scared . j/k.

Well anyways, only 3 of us are left, and by accident CivGeneral and we let Dave get Cavalary before us. He was very far behind in the tech race and we assumed we could make a B-line to get Sistine(Which I built ) I have large amounts of musketman and Horseman. Unfortunately I am completely starved of Iron. I am 6 turns away from getting cavalary, but look what DaveMcW is doing with his.

As you can see, CivGeneral has a large problem. Not to worry, my entourage of muskets confused: I am hoping I will help a bit :/) are on the way. But, Dave is now unable to build more cavalary because of a sneak attack I had been planing on CT's old territory .

Here is the aftermath of the sneak attack. I took out his city with saltpeter and his other saltpeter is not connected .

If you panned more to the right, you'd see I was stuck in almost all jungle. The only good terrain I really had was south. Being the Jags, the jag rush was really slowed by the jungle. Dave isn't doing too bad after we had a little OCC war.

As soon as I can upgrade my horsemen to Cavalary he is going DOWN! Being without iron prevented me from moving earlier, but once I saw that saltpeter, I knew I had to act. I was a couple of turns to late...

Well, you certainly jump right into the action Goonie! It's usually a good idea to ask people if they want to do a thread, that way they don't feel insulted or left out. Plus they can save screenshots along the way.

It's a small world with 60% water pangea. Accelerated Production on. Game is multiplayer simultaneous mode.

Here is my empire just after I finished building the Forbidden Palace in Niagara Falls. I am starving all ciites below size 3 in preparation for a palace jump.

With two cores I can match Goonie and CivGeneral's combined production and research. In the Middle Ages I triggered my golden age with the Colossus and beelined for Military Tradition. By the time my golden age ended I had 25 Cavalry ready to go.
