got dsl, wanna host full game, super map(30000 sq.) everything optimized by expert

Some do, my apt and reasonanble doctor, but others burn wioth a fire in the bellos of their gutr that happens to spill onto their tongues, but then again, I think I am speaking contrary to someone who has great proficiency with these matters...

And don't worry about this, I'm sure if we are truly man behind our MANnerisms then we will speak the least out of you all when the game gets going, but either way, if those old men had learned how to make their own pastries then they'd be fighting for who had the best pastry and I think that's what this is closer to if anything.

The thesaurus, our dubiously insightful political medic, is nothing but a bedeviled snare to the inexperienced verbalist, because he quickly betrayes his dependency upon it in his writing by choosing words that may be listed as the same but through the subtlety of the language have great and gaping differences which one such as myself could detect without even stopping to analyze it, feeling his use of words as I read... Nicosar, the gameplayer, the chaoschild, THE STORYWRITER!! Of diplomatic weaving I trust you in all your knowhow but since writing is very similar, having to almost TRICK the reader into believing your story, I think I would almost be on par with you in the field of puppeteering...

you're online in this forum yet I get no response from your ICQ {which would be a much more efficient way to chat} Try messaging me 117649741.
I have been a student and later practicioner of politics {and philosophy, commerce and computers} so my puppet mastery is backed by the most efficient use of technology and garners the highest level of personal gain... but I'll let you write my memoirs as champion of your vaunted game.

Now that the rhetoric seems to have subsided for the time being, will we, perhaps, be graced with the files that Nicosars stubborn scanner has yet to produce? To be completely honest, I must confess to a small amount of surprise that these files were not already on the hard drive of our verbose host. These are not "dagger-words" pointed at you, Nicosar. Just the rumblings from a pigeon stomach that hungers to get this game-of-games on the plate.:D I am extremely curious to see what files have to be scanned in with said scanner, rather than typed in with ease and speed. But perhaps I should drink a healthy cup of patience to quiet the rumblings in my eager stomach. After all, I have not forgotten. It was not that long ago that the prospect of my participitation in this game was in doubt. So with that, I will raise my brimming cup of patience with this toast....

"Heres to getting this ball rolling very soon!" ;)

some things are just easier written than typed I guess, but definitely tomorrow everyone is going to get them then. Sorry general Pigeon, i keep turning my ICQ off at the beginning propmpt and then forget about it....ill try to remmeber from now on.

Written? As in hand-written? :) I only hope that your skill in penmanship matches your skill in using the words that you write. :D It would be disappointing indeed if we were unable to read these words. Looking forward to it Nic.......

its EXTREMELY neat, do not worry, as everything I do, it has been done with care

The rhetoric on this thread seems mostly to be done with haste and not with care, hopefully that's not the case with the maps and game changes Nicosar.
Generally the thinker gets ahead at the end in these games so don't be so hasty when you play and think out your strategies with care or you WILL be bested

everyone thinks they have something to teach young Nicosar... but one can fun with words without betraying his finer abilities, can ne not?

heheh....about the game, ask the good doctor what HE thinks...for he was priviliged enough to get a sneak peak

I met him on ICQ yesterday night and I eventually got to talk him to try and join me in a game to make sure it worked...there WERE indeed a few problems one of which was that every one of you needs to have the scenario file, which I will send you in the mail along with the packet in zipped up format, and the other was an easy to work around dsl error.

Don't be so suspicious! he picked someone for himself, the Germans, if you all want to make sure he stays them, and someone for me, the Russians, which I humbly accepted. We only saw our starting positions, commenting mostly just on the new units and things in the civilopedia without even making one move. Id say he was fairly impressed!

I believe that the wiser thing to do would have been to post screen shots of the start positions and civilopedia for all to see, rather than making just one of us privvy to it. Just a thought that escaped before I could hold it back...;) But truth be said, there are folks that might consider this "less than genuine" of you. I would hate to see problems kill this before it lives. (hmmm...death before life...strange concept). Looking forward to my e-mail packet...

screenshots would not suffice. It was just a way to look at the civilopedia {which will require some study, the subtle changes will make some sifgnificant tactical differences}. As I saw the start position in order to do this {but no moves or anything like that} thats why I have to keep the same civ. Also worked out the technical issues now, saving much heartache when 7 are gathered and ready. You will all have a chance to read the pedia before play commences, it is included in the package... although some honor system should be worked out so people pick their civs and only see that starting position. And honor will be important, as the entire scenario needs to be stored locally on each persons machine....

GEN! Generohohal!! Dont worrrrrryyyyy! he was bored last night and he begged and begged so like a good master i fed my dog a bone..nothing more, he gaped at the master set of units complimented here, asked a questioned there...helped with some technical difficulties elsewhere so it was quite beneficial actually and since you will be gettin the entire scenario package alon gwith the game files themselves you could do the same...

LOOK AT THE UNITS THAT IS IT, nothing else (well, terrain, etc) but under no circusmtance can you enter the game. This would be cheating since when the doc entered it it was under my supervision, and the highest standard of honor is set by Nicosar, the faithful, the honorable, the uncorruptable and unstainable master gameplayer whom will soon prove himself so.. the stuff is scanned in I just to tweak the contrast a bit (i wrote in pencil) and work o nthe schedule and were game!!

The Remains of Flatlander Fox?

I never engage in breast beating, BUT...

Better hope you don't ever draw me in a duel Nicosar. :D

P.S. What you are attempting to do is a pretty good idea, BUT...

Having played quite a few "continuing games", I can only tell you
that you MUST be clear with the changes you made in the game, AND with playing times, "House Rules", and the like.

I know Narz and Gen. Schwartz have played in a few multi-session games and they can tell you that attendence is bad, and losing players don't like to continue games that last an hour a turn.

" For the sake of brevity I hope you can curtail your speeches when it comes to in-game diplomacy, the preceding posts would lead me to believe a simple tech swap could take half an hour to work out."

Anyway, I'll keep it simple
