You all have no human decency
Nope!

I've got it, thanks to my local independant games seller overlooking the fact that it's released tomorrow.

Not that that's much use, given that I can't activate it 'til tomorrow.

Steam sucks.

Nope!

Download started just now, which doesn't help much as I have to leave in an hour.

Given that I'm coming near the end of my Medieval 2 game, and I've got several hours to wait for this behemoth of a game to download, it may all come together beautifully.

I've got mine. For some reason, despite the fact I've got 2 discs worth of game, it wants me to spend 8 hours downloading it? What was the point of the discs then?

Nope!

I guess its the same with me. It tells me steam is too busy to handle my request, I'm not sure wh im requesting anything its activated and I have the discs so...

Solved it. Cancel the steam installation, delete the local files in steam, then re-run the insallation program from the disc. Only gonna take 1/2 an hour, rather than 8+ for downloading. :D

Getting the game tommorow, delievered as per usual. Hopefully, my graphics card will come as well so I can play the damn thing! :p

So wait, if one has the game on a disk, does he need to download anything or does it just activate it?

Does anyone know the Australian activation, by the way? I have my lovely shiny useless box, and I'd love to know when it's a lovely shiny useful box.

You just need to activate the game over Steam. You need an internet connection and Steam account to do so.

The game is officially released in Australia on the 5th of March, so I expect that will be the activation date. :)

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My Game Won't Come Until Tomorow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edifying.

My game won't be here until Thursday, apparently.

Mine is active. Wonder if it's the first copy on CivFanatics?

After playing the tutorials (I'm a n00b, sue me) and a large portion of Road to Independance, I have to say...good grief, it's awesome. :D

Is the performance/bugginess better than the demo?

Never got my hands on the demo, but there aren't any huge issues, apart from somewhat long loading times. I'm playing on Medium graphics, though, that may have something to do with it.

Nope. I had mine running about 7 PM GMT yesterday :p

Seems to load quicker than the demo. Well, except for the very first time I ran it, when it took about 5 mins to load the game. Now it's no more that 30 secs, with about the same for battles. The demo was about twice that.

I've only played for a few hours, but so far, I'm a bit unsure about Empire. There's not many things I can pinpoint as being wrong (apart from the idiotic decision to prevent you playing as most of the factions), but there just seems to be something lacking. I'm not currently desperate for the working day to be over so I can rush home to Empire, which is unlike me. Not giving up on it or anything, maybe it'll take me a while to really get into the game, but it just doesn't feel as good as I'd hoped so far.

I'm a bit underwhelmed... the land AI is pretty bad (but that will probably be patched) and campaign map doesn't have a tutorial.

Do the Swedes use a version of Caroline pike-wielding infantry in the early game?
