GOTM and CIV:Warlords

I had to install a cludge file to replace the Mehmed II leader picture. A lot of other players have had the same problem. This could easily make a mess of the first WOTM if many players CTD when they meet Mehmed II.

Could I suggest that either the leader for WOTM I be Mehmed or Mehmed be explicitly excluded. If the players are Mehmed, the game will CTD when loaded and an explanation could be included on the WOTM page with a cludge if no patch is available. It would prevent a lot of people having problems with CTD and retracing moves from autosaves in the middle of the game.

There's also a problem with one of the sound files that, while not game breaking, causes frighteningly loud errors in the later part of the game. It can be fixed manually but that'll probably throw off the WOTM as well.

Sound and graphics files *shouldn't* be included in the asset checking process, so any sound file change you apply to stop the annoying noise ought to be OK.

I was just checking in to see if we had a confirmation that there would indeed be a monthly WOTM, and now I feel like going out to buy Warlords tonight. There goes my week-end... ;)

the real question is, is the Warlords HoF mod free of rushing bugs?
I understand that we didn't need to apply the whipping fix in the Warlords version of the HOF mod. In fact we are looking at using the Warlords code to fix the Vanilla whipping. Care to help test that? :)

sounds good, I think Dianthus was checking out a graphical bug I noticed in the 1.67 HOF mod as well...my fullscreen/window setting keeps getting reset to fullscreen whenever I finish a session and then come back later. lol it may be reinitializing the graphics .ini, but as I'm still a beginning programmer and haven't learned much other than Java, I'm not sure.

Might as well.... Alan - can we support the WHOF mod?
No reason why not ... except my innate ability to insert bugs. I was anticipating that we would do so, so it should all be in place.
