2. No discussion of Industrial Age (or later).
3. Absolutely NO Discussion of any other active 'X'OTM contest!

Deity level with Persia, a good, strong early game civ. Were you able to build on a good start in the Middle Ages, or were you playing catch-up? Early Golden Age, or later?
