Gotm29 help needed

I have played it a little now, but after getting a disorder in a city which got too 2 pop. With 2 connected luxuries and also lux tax set at 20% i became seriously alarmed what could be wrong.

After a closer look i noticed that the luxuries aren't accepted by the game, still stand as unconnected too all cities.

And YES there is road all the way from the luxuries to the cities.

Help please.

Most likely, you're talkng about bonus resources, not luxury resources. Big difference in how they effect your citizens. Hm, I'm not sure if this violates GOTM protocol. Perhaps, next time you have a question like this just PM ainwood or another GOTM staff member.

I didn't want to tell what resource it was at that might have been taken as a spoiler. But it IS a luxury. So it must be something else :/

AND the Luxury lies within your cultural radius (or you have a colony on the luxury)?

AND the road connects to you capital?

Just a couple other thoughts I had. Lots of poprushing (or war weariness) can make your cities unhappy even with several luxuries connected, but its odd that they don't show up as connected for you.

Some luxuries don't display an icon in the city screen. It's something to do with teh different ways the screens are programmed. But you should still see a happy face beside each one even though the icon space is blank.

You need to PM me or Ainwood or any of the staff and we'll arrange for someone to look at your save file to investigate what's going on.

I haven't played since GOTM21, so I need GOTM25 setup files, right?

Where are they? The link is bad!


Oops - I mean the GOTM24, since 25 is dependent on 24.

I don't know where you got the link, but as far as I can tell there isn't a full gotm24 installer. I'm not so familiar with the Windows installers, but believe you need to follow the breadcrumbs in my reference thread post. Use the gotm21 full installer and then the gotm24 and 25 add-ons.

Don't forget to add in the pediaIcons.txt file that you'll find in the start file download as well if you are planning to play gotm29

Ahah! There's a warning below that link that the full setup file may not be available because it's so big. It clearly isn't available currently! Pleased to hear you are operational.
