That German Explorer looks awful familiar (minus a head)... where have I seen that before...Just to tease you a bit more:
Well, I've been thinking of allowing explorers to attack (barbarians, minor outposts or backwards civs), but I'm not sure if that would effect their ability to enter other civ's lands.awesome explorer stuff. i wish the game made them more useful. I made it so they can build forts in my personal mod. I wasthinking of adding a merchant ability (anout 1/100th of a great merchant) so they can do something else.

I use the Perfect World script and ALWAYS ask for multiple continents with a "New World" continent to be included... that means you'll always find a new continent untouched by other civs after astronomy (when you can use explorers)... of course you need to be the first to astronomy if you want to get there first!Exactly my thoughts. I guess they could only be useful with the Terra maps, like having a brand new unexplored continent...

Explorers definitely need to be made useful.. out of all the games of CIV I've played I reckon I've probably only built a couple of them. But I didn't know that they could enter enemy lands without triggering warmaybe I'll use them next time. Scouts can't enter enemy lands as well can they?
GeoModder said:Huh? As far as I know both Explorers and Scouts can't enter other lands without an open borders agreement. During war they can enter hostile land at will of course.
Perhaps you're confusing with caravels?
......but I'm not sure if that would effect their ability to enter other civ's lands.
I'd like to see them be able to take out units (offensively) from outdated civs and barbarians... it sucks that they can't attack a unit clearly inferior/outdated from them... I'm not saying a few Explorers should be able to take-out a formation of Musketmen or Riflemen, but they sure should be able to take it to some backwards spearmen or swordsmen.maybe they should be modded to enter foreign lands. that would make the useful. and maybe make them defend better, like the machine gunners have. maybe not attack but able to standby and absorb the hits would be good.
Speaking of explorers, when are those two English and German ones going to be available for download Avain?
I was already forced to download your Mod... Chugg's diversity required it!I thought it would be a nice idea to force you to download my mod, but nay, I'm such a good guy anyway
, so I'm letting you have it now:

But thanks for the thought!
Hehe, I am surprised you did not ask for the Babylonian modern units too
Any ETA for 3.6 ?
No really!... Well you better sue Chug for copyright infringement... he has your FPK files in his mod!Riiiiight!![]()
Sorry... probably my fault... I'll bet he's putting a lot of time and effort into a Rommel Great General for Germany.Well, it's almost finished, but it's the same as with you: I'm still waiting for snafu to make a move ( I also waited for Chuggi, but it seems that it'll be delayed because of Civ Specific Great People for some weeks...)
