Graphical Quibbles...

Thanks for the praise, guys, glad you like it! Here it is, finished, with all files (built on top of the XML changes posted a couple of posts before), this time, I've included the farms as well! :)

Screenshot and files attached, have fun!

Cheers, LT.

Looks good. The cycon farmhouses are perhaps a tad too large, but I'll check how you managed the scale after download.

Oh, and I almost forgot: I've redone the Hydrothermal Vents - hopefully less volcano-like! I tweaked the shape a bit and made it flatter and also made it a little more colourful so they stand out more (and look less threatening! ).

Cheers, LT.

Glad you like it! I've added the Cybernexus to the mix and made a Governor's Office model (though there's no faction specific one now... but I quite like the model).

To give the Consciousness the current Angel trait of reduced negative planet from population, I'll need to give them a governor's office. What scale did you intend for the governor's office? 1.0 like the other CyCon buildings?

Not quite - I adopted GeoModder's system of setting the scales (1.0 in the ArtDefines, the actual scale then in the CityLSystem). So the scale should be more like ~0.55 to 0.6.

It is more versatile when using different graphics for different factions for the same building class. :dunno:

Hey, I totally agree, that's why I'm using it too - just sayin' that Maniac has to get the scales from the LSystem, not from the ArtDefines! ;)

Does PF have wonder movies (or at least a short description of the wonder after it is build)? Or is that just broken for me?

I've come back to planetfall after a long while, and I'm disappointed to see that aquaformers still aren't using the nice texture I made :(

...might as well revive this thread for graphics stuff. ;)

I worked a bit on the cult cityset, finally found a handful of ideas for the 1x2/2x1 buildings. The cult has... kind of a boring design style in its wallpaper, couldn't really come up with much starting from there.

So, constructive criticism please, especially since I still feel a bit rusty!

Cheers, LT.

Good idea.
On the texture, perhaps a proposal for a bit variation on the typical white walls: murals of native life. In a 'religion' based on worship of (parts of) a planetary biosphere, I think the followers might use such murals to 'focus' their meditation efforts.
Also, I think a couple of 'brood pits' would be standard infrastructure on their bases, so it might be an idea to include such a structure in the cityset.
Those rockformations there look good. You could as well use them as a founding/core structure for multiple small buildings around them. For a new structur, perhaps the top part of the 'antenna' structure on one of the rock pinnacles?
Oh, and I reckon the ground of a Cult base should be covered with lots of fungus. So a few fungal 'bushes' here and there would be nice.

Looking good. :goodjob:

Regarding textures for the buildings and ground: don't forget about the temple.dds and deidre256.dds [sic] in the shared folder of the PAK. No need to reinvent hot water.

Anyway, I figured out again where to get the programs necessary to view nif files, so I can comment on the rover later.
