Graphics Modification Requests Thread

Wow, that was fast! They look great. Thanks so much for fulfilling this request so quickly!

I am trying to make a flag for a Gaelic civ, and after I posted, I realized the Four-Leafed Clover is actually not the Gaelic symbol. It is actually the shamrock, and the shamrock only has 3 leaves. Would it be too much trouble to request a Shamrock? I'm sorry for the confusion. :(

Can I request a Thomas Jefferson leaderhead?

I would like a Che Guevera leaderhead for a civ I'm making.

Perhaps he could be based off of Pericles, with similar clothes to Uncle Fidel, and obviously a beret on his head( he wouldn't be Che without it). Perhaps give him Sitting Bull's animations.

I'm working on the GoW Mod. See my sig. I have planet graphics, but I don't think I can add rings and I don't like the low poly model anyway.
It could be a template with atmosphere glow, clouds, rotation, and rings in one .nif and the glow, clouds, and rings could be deleted to suit the planet. If possible the poles should be as straight as possible because that becomes an issue with globes.
I want it to look like Vadus's at this link basically, with rings.

Would someone be able to make a nif for a simple hexagonal column? I'm hoping to use this for a cool Basalt Columns terrain feature.

I'm thinking that if I had a few good polygonal column nifs, I could use the tree plotsystem to place lots of these as partially overlapping "trees" on a map tile, creating cool rock formations like the famous Giant's Causeway in Ireland.

Thanks a lot to anyone interested to make this! It could help to have 2 or 3 slight variants of the column to look natural. Any rocklike texture with a slight gloss would look good.

Well, i think the "TILE_ART_TYPE_TREES" tag will always automatically animate the nifs, regardless. So your stones will flow with the wind.

Hi. I was searching through the database and couldn't find either of these so here's my requests.
1. A 3d realistic Thomas Jefferson Leaderhead.
2. A future cityset, but white and shiny. The first maybe a retexture of mod_eu.nif. Then one with more elaborate structures. Like GarretSidzaka's only whiter and shinier.
Thanks :)

Not sure if it's the right place, but I have a question:

Is it possible to make\convert leaderheads from oblivion or morrowind games?

Has somebody tried that?
As far as I know they are using the same graphic engine as Civ4 does (Gamebryo), so at least getting the models into Blender should be not much of a problem. Best look into the modding forums of these games for instructions.

The right rigging of the models to a Civ4 leaderhead animation is another problem. You'll have to find somebody with the necessary experience and motivation or learn it yourself. I think I myself would be interested enough to try to create one leaderhead if you could supply me with the necessary files, but I can't promise any more.

ok this is vivec from morrowind (nif and dds's)
I'm not sure if anything is possible at all with this..
morrowind doesn't use kfm's, but there are a lot of kf's, and I have no idea which ones are used

If you can conjure up something out of these, I'll be very gratefull :)

If that doesn't go, I'll try to exract something from oblivion... I need an argonian and\or a khajiit leader/..

Okay, I can view the model with NifSkope, so it should be no problem to import it into Blender.

However, I'd like to ask you to send me the kf files as well. These are the animation files, the kfm file is just a file that links to the kf files. I would like to try if these files can be converted to leader animations, which would make re-rigging of the model unnecessary and would give these leaders their characteristic movement.

all kf's of morrowind are in the same folder, so except their names I have no indication of what is what. This one is named Vivec, so I hope it's the only one. There are also a couple of huge kf's (2-3 mega) which I assume are the animations of different races\ people... Not sure if you'll need them

Hm, not very helpful, he just crosses his legs and goes back to the idle pose. Those models also don't feature any facial animation as it seems. I guess using the races specific animations one could do something similar as melcher kürzer does at the moment with Civ4 units. But that would need some experimentation and melcher could be a bit further on that one.

I myself could try rigging the Vivec model to a leaderhead animation for now. For this you'll have to tell me which leaderhead animation set you would like to have for the Vivec leaderhead.

Tough question... Perhaps Asoka?

But if you think some other is easier or better, then go for it.

... and thanks :)
No problem. :)

Asoka should be alright, I'll see what I can do with it.
Saibot... when you're at it, you couldn't be interested in putting up a tutorial on how to do that, I mean, importing models from other games and rigging them on new LH's?
I'll see what I can put together. In the time being you can already look at these tutorials:

For converting:
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=356101

For importing into Blender:
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=9146026&postcount=573
(this one is for importing Atlantica Online models into 3ds Max, but it is also helpful for Blender since the only problem are the dds files)

For rigging:
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=320560
(for units, but is more or less the same deal for leaderheads)
