Greatest traitor in your nations (or anyone else’s) history?

I think it was also during the Qajar reign that the Koohe Noor diamond was given away/stolen and given to the British.
I seem to recall the British got it from the Sikh kingdom in Punjab after the First Sikh War in the 1850's?

Ephialtes, who betrayed the Spartan king Leonidas at the Battle of Thermopylae in 480 BC.

Alcibiades Athenian turncoat who aided Sparta in the Pelopponnessian War.
Since the question was about the greatest traitor in each one's country, I think that I can say for Greeks it's Ephialtes - hands-down. To get an idea, even in modern Greek his name is the word (literally) for "nightmare". Alcibiades doesn't even come as close 2nd.

Indeed, and for those complaining that we stole it from them by forcing them to hand it over as spoils of war they might want to look into how it came to be in their posession to begin with...

The worst American traitor of the last twenty-five years? It's a toss up between John Walker who sold crytographic secrets to the Soviets and Jonathon Pollard who gave thousands of sensitive intelligence documents to the Israelis. Both are serving life without in Federal Prisons. They should have been stood up against a wall.

Eleven pages, so I'm sure someone's said this already, but if not:

Vidkund Quisling, Norwegian Nazi collaborator during WWII, bastard through and through. Some older folks in Britain still use 'quisling' as a word synonymous with 'traitor'.

They shot him after the war.

Worst Traitor in history? As if there is such a thing as being a 'worse' traitor than somebody else? If I had to pick, though, i would vote for Gusieppe Garibaldi. Yes, he did help to create the Italian state( which was good), but by definition, he GAVE his entire kingdom to Piedmont.

The king who willed Pergamum to Rome could fit into this category too
