Group Membership?

so i guess this feature is still to find a test/use?

i guess i'll have to actualy go to that vbuletin site to find out how this works.
and if it could be used for the purpose i might have in mind.

Ap'rently. But it's wonderful to see the appeal of Elitism, no matter how pathetic.

You are the pathetic one, you don't even have a group! ;)

i dont see what this has to do with elitism?

personaly i'd like to get this feature of the forums into use so that in the NES forums we can (maybe) get some sort of secure forum/thread thing going for both ingame alliences and also for possible team games.

anyway, read up on vBulletin, and it seems that:
1. the groups can be public (CFCers join from their CP)
2. forums can (if desired) be restricted to specific groups
3. in some places there are references to "groupleaders" who can basicaly Mod a group. not sure if this is built in or a hacked feature. this would mean that other then setting up a group, TF (and CFC mods) wouldnt need to do much to get groups up and running.

I see some good uses for special forums. For example the beta test of the Warhammer mod 2.0 had to go off site to get it's own forum, this wouldn't have been neccessary with a specialized forum. I can think of a bunch of scenarios/mods that would benefit from it's own forum. :)

And if the OT bunch can stop spamming for a minute we self important C&C:ers can get on being topical... :mischief:

Best use of such forums, is to limit access and plot underground movements agsinst mods and members who tick us off... :mischief:

Correction. I meant, it's best for teams who are discussing tactics in current games and don't want other teams to read their minds.

Private forums for scenario teams would indeed be great. That's the one thing I prefer with CDG over CFC.

Yeah getting forums for mods and scen. would be great. :)

Yes you are. :p And a bold one at that!

Pssh, way ahead of you guys, I requested to join, I told TF if I'm not a member of the CFC addicts group the phrase has no meaning.

:p
