I think that you can keep the cuba´s unit, just change his name to Partisan, or something like that.

I liked the idea of continental UU, but, you will have to be carefull to not give the same unit to culturaly difent countries.

I´ll serach more about the history of this countries, to help you, But, wich countries aren´t with UUs?

Every civ has 3 UU's.

1. Their own UU which nobody else has.

2. A UU for whatever continent they're from.
America - Mounted Warrior
Europe - Man-o-War (need new name)
Middle East - Camel Rider
Africa - Tribesman (Jaguar Warrior)
Asia - Assasin

3. A UU for their current or past stance on Guerilla warfare.
Guerilla civ - Guerillero
Non-Guerilla civ - Special Ops

Here's a better one. I took the Musketeer and chooped off the musket. When he has to fight, he'll bust out his saber. For the run ani I'm just getting rid of the musket so it looks like he's running with a load in his pants.
