PriestOfDiscord said:Ottomans/Turks are an absolute must. Babylon would be nice. Khmer would also be nice. Sadly, this means Africa gets the shaft yet again. :/
Civs I don't want to see in:
Korea. A civ that only made it in one of 3's expansions to peddle more copies into the S. Korean market. A complete backwater in history.
Austria-Hungary. This one makes no sense. The Dual Monarchy only existed for little more than half a century. Before that, they were just the Habsburg Empire of Austria. And Austrians are German. There could be a case for Hungary though I guess.
Carthage. Too late to change this I guess, but who cares? A minor trading empire that's only claim to fame was losing war after war after war to Rome on their way up.
Not notable? They were pretty much the undisputed masters of SE Asia in the beginning of the second millenium.rbis4rbb said:why khmer? they are non notable
And had the Nazis decisively defeated the Soviets at Stalingrad, we would all be speaking German now in the 70-somethingth year of the 1000 year Reich. What If's are fun, but not the best way to make your case.Minoan said:Dude, Carthage was a major Meddeteranian Power. It was one of the wealthiest cities in the world, and made huge contributions to map making. It was they who send Hanno on an exploration, and he made his way around Africa all the way to Cameroon. They and the Phonecians were the greatest explorers of thier time. The Carthaginian Empire was hardly a minor trading empire. In addition, it produced very competent generals like Hamilcar and Hannibal Barca, the latter being one of the very best general of antiquity, and possibly history, the only reason he lost the 2nd Punic War was because he did not have the government backing him up. Had the greedy Merchant-Princes cared enough to send reniforcements and some seige machinary, it would be the Carthaginian Empire we'd be learning about in school, not the Roman.
