Guess the Map VI: Retroactive Cartographer

It could be some sort of width-of-railway-tracks which of course heavily changes from city to city and for example New York does not have a tram system. (It has a metro, but that's a different kind).

I however struggle heavily to find any Railway, Mountain Cable Cars or Electronic Rails not found in Switzerland...??? Keep in mind, that we also have Barbados, so it's not only for Big cities.

Hmm, Segways?

Undergrounds? Maglevs?

Ah! The city has two one million dollars left from the budget. Monorail!

Maybe trams?

Monorails.

Linear induction motors.

Diesel locomotives

Correct! Here's the map with a key to all the colors:

Oh no! I ain't got no map, people! I just like guessing. Will someone else do one, please?

(Damn! Monorails was just a blind guess. I don't understand that key at all. The UK has abandoned plans for a monorail? Is that right? And why are they less popular in large cities?)

Moscow monorail:

But... but... you told me they were less popular in places like Moscow. Else, naturally, I'd have guessed right away. ;)

Gyroscopically balanced monorail:

Which is just showing off, imo.

Yeah, that key is confusing, what does the light yellow one say, under construction?

I really advise to use colour schemes (i.e. red + yellow = orange) when mixing stuff like this. Or even better, just subdivide the countries and have them in stripes or something. All those shades of blue...

Oh well, let's hope I do better, though that map is not self made ;)

Looks a lot like the map for who voted in favour of Palestine yesterday at the UN…
