The light red dots at least aren't cities, there's some in the Southern Ocean south and a little west of the Cape of Good Hope.

I assume that's the legend.

The red dots are not cities, and the dots and green coloring south of Africa are part of the legend, not data. Also, if there's a lot of volcanism in the central United States, that would be news to me...

WWTVICTOR is closest so far. The green areas are agricultural regions. Nobody has gotten the red dots yet, though.

Does the layout of the map with Asia in the middle have any significance?

Yeeah, it is tornadoes and agricultural production. I knew I had seen that map before, just couldn't place it. I think it was in one ofthe Guess the Map or Altered Maps threads.

Well according to the map it would seem like a non-black southern person.

It's probably based off of census data, so whatever the people filling it out thought it meant.
