Gunman kills again, this time at NASA

Not much to discuss... murders happen in every country every day.
Indeed.

Still, this is NASA we're talking about. I would've expect security there to be tighter.
And such over-confidence in guards could be enough to let this kind of thing happen. The "we have such good security, that will never happen in here" is what can increase the likelihood of such events occuring.

People must be the problem. One killing (VT), then you get more and more, with copycat killers

Who says this is a copy cat killing?

Seems to me the media fishing for anything to keep this going as long as possible.

Basing it on nation isn't exactly fair, as it does not account for region size and population density. If all countries were the size of morocco and had a population of 1 million, then we'd be able to properly figure out who lives in truly the safest area :p

Not too relevant but I'm rather sure that most of the European countries don't have murders going on every day.

Nice work Gin. Pity I can't get wiki up over here in China. :)

Do you remember the case of Lisa Nowak?

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,265170,00.html

She is accused of trying to kidnap a rival for a space shuttle pilot's affections.

Nearly all of the 16 images found on the disk depicted bondage scenes, according to a forensic examination report by the Orlando Police Department. Some of the images showed a nude woman while others were drawings.

Now that didn't happen in Star Trek!

You've got to wonder if the vetting procedure isn't working quite badly at NASA. Maybe these killings were in retaliation for NASA nuking Jupiter ;)
