With some luck the Scots may soon be able to exact some revenge on the Norse as well.
Unfortunately, the Scots are not so blessed to have such an opportunity avilable to them. We must rely on less 'sophisticated' ways. But, as fate would have it, we had little to do with the current development anyway. The Norse chose their own path to destruction

The newly arrived norse wikings in Ireland met an unholy sight on the middle of the Island: A 10 feet tall Giant crashing through the hilly countryside. A brave chief draw his weapon and charged the giant - the remains can still be found across a wide area.
After the ruthless invaders angered the mighty Giant (His name is Willy, if you would like to know) he began to charge towards their closest outpost to repay them for the attack. We could do little but try to keep up with him.
His pride swelled as he charged into the the city of Cork and killed the defending Raider. Our supporting units joined his frenzy and were able to sink the remaining Drakkar that was moored in the city. Rather then leave the city vulnerable to counter attack, the Scots escorted the refugees away from the city and then burned it to the ground. The mast of the Drakkar was left mounted in the ruins as a reminder to the Norse that the Scots will not simply surrender.
