If these two characters got in a fight, who do you think would win?

Next week: Rocky versus Rambo!

I hope to god Indy would win. But realistically Han would win. That doblecrossing bastard.

Han shot first!!

Really, to me it's like Harrison Ford vs. Harrison Ford! It's like he's literally fighting himself :p

Han: Relies on blaster guns and good footwork with Imperial hallways. Has a tendency to get "wounded" so he can have Leia attend to him.

Indy: Jumps around when he needs to. Uses guns as an element of surprise. Tends to be bewildered and flummoxed, which can be a liability.

Deckard: Endures two hours of grim and gritty pursuit so that he can endure a longer existential crisis BUT can probably hold his own in a fight better than the other two.

Sadly, Han. But I'm still rooting for Indy!

Han didn't appear in a sequel 30 years after the original.

But Chewie appeared in a prequel 30 years later... that's close enough, right?

So did the Falcon (or an equivalently modified YT-1300 light freighter).

Indy. Han Solo may be a rascal but he has a sense of honor. Indiana Jones is not above cheating if he has to.
While I agree that Han has a sense of honor, "Han shot first" was sketchier than anything Indy did, ever.

Wookie + energy weapon + spaceship with heavy anti-ship weaponry vs whip + pistol +...beign a stowaway outside a nazi submarine?

It's not even remotely a fair fight.

(If Han was the vilain, that would give Indy an automatic win, but they're both heroic sorts, so neither gets the heroic bonus to facing stronger villains)

Also you know, he shot first in a dispute about smuggling highly illegal drugs for a murderous gangster.

Han was a professional soldier more than once. :p

Indy was a soldier in WWI and II. But still, I would say Han Solo would in all likelihood defeat Indy.

Indy was a soldier in WWI and II.
Not a professional, though. In WWI he was a standard trench rat (although he randomly and improbably got transferred to most of the exciting areas of the war) and in WWII he seems to have worked somewhat loosely with the OSS (although the way it's portrayed in the movie the group comes off more as LXG).

Still a soldier :p And in the two worst wars in human history which were a lot nastier than anything Han Solo took part in.
