:band: I like bands, and usually have at least 4 albums from each I like, but I take fandom to a whole new level by not knowing who anybody in my top 3 favourite bands are actually called. :king: :hmm:

I like a lot of powerful / inspirational music, however I was a really big fan of Stiff Little Fingers (a 1977 - current Northern Irish punk band). I went to about 10 of their gigs through the years.
I went through a phase of being heavily into Bauhaus (a goth punk band), they were very moody and delightfully pretentious; but they fitted well as a musical backdrop to a dark time of my life.

I wear band t-shirts and have posters etc, whilst listening to CD's constantly, so I guess you could call me a fan of a great many bands.

I used to be a huge fan of anything classic (mid 60's to early 70's) like Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, etc. Now I just treat most music as just background noise. Something to listen to while I get on with my day.

I can't remember the last time I listened to any classic rock (really).

Yeah, I love Peter Gabriel and all his songs, like San Jacinto, Family Snapshot, The Family and the fishing net, Here comes the Flood. All songs that are touched with a great sense of sociology.

Did you ever listen old Genesis, when Peter Gabriel was their singer? Awsome music, it still have something ''magic' to me. The lyrics are also very good, they mixed fable, mythology, religion.

Some of the best old genesis's song .

1.- The return of the giant Hogweed
2.- The knife
3.- Musical box
4.- Super's ready ( close to 25 minutes)
5.- In the cage
6.- Ripples
7.- and many other

They were the King of progressive rock and we dont hear no more those kind of music today.

Anything Les Claypool is involved with I'll buy (as far as music, not promotional material). Same with Buckethead.

I'm a big Frank Zappa fan, as well. One of America's greatest composers!

Well, there is a big difference between music writers and music performers, though both are defenitely artists!

The greatest Mozart piano sonate played by me, is not something you want to hear!
Just like I think Mariah Carey is a great singer, but what she sings is so annoying (IMHO), that I will never but her CDs.

I listen to music quite a lot. Most of it is rock music. But I also like classic, mostly Mozart and Haydn and occasionally Bach (young Stapel was in the children's choire 4 times for the Matthew's Passion).

I have 15 vinyl Rolling Stones albums. Still the best imo.
