Would you like some? :groucho:

Lots of Irish on my mom's side of the family, so yeah.

Thankfully: No.

My ancestry all comes from England, unfortunately. Technically I could claim to be A Jew, since my Grandmother had 1/4 Jew in her. Orthodox Jews consider you to be Jewish based on your Mother's side, so that flows down to me. Had she lived in Germany she would hae been in grave danger just because of that, since she was female it would have been harder to prove that she was Jewish.

What makes it even worse is your Australian

you genuinely are a funny guy, did you know that? The way you insult countries... well, all I'll say is if you were a comedian, you'd be Bernard Manning, and surely there cannot be any higher compliment than that. Really high-brow stuff.

I'm 100% Dutch as far as I know.

But when he does it it's fine? Weird that

edit: what if I said "My ancestry all comes from Ireland, unfortunately" you can't see the implication?

Considering I'm from a country that has absolutely nothing to do with Ireland, I'd say no. It's probably more likely I have a bit of blood from their enemies instead.

No, unfortunately. Only Germans and Norwegians as far as it can be reconstructed (roughly 150years) - seems to be a custom in my family to import the ladies from Norway.
But I compensate by having a few Irish friends. For some reason we have a lot of Irish emigrants in the first or second generation where I live.

My ancestry is 50% Swiss...

...and 50% Scotch-Irish. That is, my ancestors lived in Ireland for a long time but were not themselves Irish.
