do you love it?

Yes....

who's your favorite character?

I gotta love Paulie Walnuts! And Furio, who I hope will be making a return....

least favorite?

Adriana, whom I expect to be back in a lot of dream sequences

favorite line(s) from the show?

A little obscure: Are you stupid? That money is spent!

how do you think the rest of the season will unfold?

Who can tell!!??

who's getting whacked next?

I think that Tony is going to survive the series, but I'm not getting too attached to Paulie and Silvio. I also forsee Christopher choking to death on his own vomit....

I watch it but I have to wait for it to come out on disc.

I think it's good - but not as good as either Rome or Deadwood.

Love that theme.

I don't have a favorite character unless it's Soprano himself. Wait, I am partial to the shrink.

Once upon a time you had real mobsters acting like Vito Corleone. Now they act like Soprano.
oy veh...i'd go nuts if i had to wait like that!

i set up camp every sunday night at around 8:55 pm.

i am a BIG Deadwood fan myself. gotta love Al Swearingen. i've seen a few episodes of Rome and it seems like a good program.

hmm...my favorite character? i'd have to say Mr. Walnuts and then Tony. i wish i had the balls to wear the 'wings' like Paulie does!

i guess Tony & Co. are 21st century gangsters.

a note about the authenticity of the show and its NJ roots:
i often get the impression that for those who are not all that familiar with New Jersey, it is often assumed that it is a land of mafiosos and nuclear waste dumps. this is all just a stereotype i'm afraid.

now, as far as the authenticity of the show, the accents of the actors, the filming locations, etc, etc. they're all very real and many of the actors are actually from NJ or NY which adds to the authenticity imo. Gandolfini is often feted here in NJ as is often seen at Rutgers football games (his alma mater iirc). i should note though that where i live in southern NJ, these NY styled accents are pretty much non-existant except for those of NY/North Jersey transplants. i also think that the actors do not take their accents/roles over the top as that is exactly how people from north jersey/NYC speak (to a certain extent that is). much of the filming is done in north jersey as well. all in all, i think that the producers really got it right w/ how they portray the different characters.

do you watch it?Every episode avalible here, more than once, plus as much of the new episode i can get on the net.

do you love it? Oh i do, with all my heart.

who's your favorite character? Its so hard, but one of either Tony, Christopher, Aderiana or Uncle Junior.

least favorite? janice, Tony B, Car sales whooo ore who hung herself.

favorite line(s) from the show? "That sugarless **** is the last drink your every gonna have*bang bang*" or "There's an old Italian saying: you **** up once, you lose two teeth. "

how do you think the rest of the season will unfold? Power play between tony and someone within his crew, maybe Vito, Paulie or chriss.
Tony will make a huge sacrafice to save someone probably AJ

who's getting whacked next? Who knows, maybe vito but i dont think so. Probably a nobody but sometime this season Chriss has got it coming, hes back on drugs hes got to pay.

sound off!WAY better than that wanna be Deadwood, never seen rome, also 24 sucks. Westwing use to be good as did the practice. But nothing compare to the Sopranos. Its made like a movie because its that damn good. Although you cant really compare the them, it is to TV what the godfather is to movies, what the LOTR is to books and what the smack your ***** up clip is to music videos.
a great post Nobody! well done!

poor Adriana...she got a raw deal imo...'but-er-face' that she is.

Janice skeeves me out, too.

Vito was eying the reigns there for a little while eralier in this current season. could he run the family from his Hew Hampshire hide-out?

aw, i'd be bummed out if Chrissy gets whacked. i want to see him get one of his scripts accepted.

yes! it is like a running movie! i totally agree!

I do not like it. I think it stop being aired here, at least in the free channels.
I do not get why someone is supposed to relate to a mob-boss, and half od the characters are just playing uneducated thugs :S
At least uncle Junior was cool, as the most pathetic of the group :)
I also didnt like the random refferences to Heideger, Husserl and other philosophers, like it actually meant something.
i don't think they want us to necessarily relate to the mob family. well, maybe a little (family dynamics, troubles).

however, the mafia is a real thing. i mean, they are not really visible in that sense but i can guarantee you that their presence in felt all along the eastern seaboard here in the US.

plus, Americans have this peculiar fascination w/ gangsters. always have...

I'm totally addicted to the Sopranos!

Watching an episode is like going back home. I'm Italian and from New Jersey, but I'm stationed in Alabama with the USAF, so...

do you watch it? - Yes.

do you love it? - Yes!!!

do you hate it? - No.

who's your favorite character? - Silvio and Christopher.

least favorite? - Johnny Sack

favorite line(s) from the show? - "He's acting like Knucklehead Smith." (Tony referring to Uncle Junior)

how do you think the rest of the season will unfold? - Tony starts to soften and may even want to retire, but the rivalry with Johnny Scak will erupt into a war, with Tony having to lead.

who's getting whacked next? - Artie

Soprano's Day at uni was class. We'd get the series and watch each episode back to back. We did the same thing with 24 but the "only eat when Jack Bauer eats" rule went right out the window.

That's like picking one woman on the sexiest thread. It's impossible, like picking a favourite Simpsons Character, it changes all the time. I'm torn between Sal and Paulie. Probably Paulie for having 'Silver Wings'.

Those people who come into the show simply to die later on. You can usually tell who they are early on.

Uncle Ju when he's under house arrest and get's addicted to Daytime TV.
Junior (Watching Millionnaire): "Look at this goddamn ***** $1000 and he's used up all his f***ing lifelines."
Junior (Watching US Soap): SHE'S PREGNANT!? Look at that, you turn away for a second and they slip something in at cha"

No idea, we've yet to watch any of Series 6 yet.
omg! you have a Sopranos Day at uni?!?! i want that!

Paulie is up on my list, too. Sil is pretty cool also. many people don't relaize that he is the guitarist from Springsteen's E Street Band. dude can rock out and he's a Jersey boy, to boot!

gotta love Jr's wise-cracks.

i'll try not to spoil it for you by posting anything that could reveal what happens. the last episode from season 6 was awesome. awesome!

a Furio return would get Carmella all hot in the pants again i'm afraid :p remember that?!

yeah, Adriana hasn't even really be mentioned outside of the first epidose this yr.

nice quote. i like the one Tony used a few seasons back. it went something like this:
"Aw, i don't trust that %$#@*~ internet...with all of those cookies and *&$%".

very nice Mano3!

not a Johnny Sac fan, eh? he's just okay in my book.

here's another of my favorite lines from Tony:
"He disrespected the Bing!"

i also see a rivalry brewing between Tony and Phil Leotardi. something's gotta give eventually.

Hammonton, eh? the Blueberry Capital of the World! i live in Absecon actually...

I see Phil getting greedy for Johnny's position. Maybe Tony will step in and that's when the 'fun' begins...

i just found this picture on google...it's Gandolfini (Tony) in iraq as part of the USO tour.

!!!!

Hey mano, if your title is to reflect your avarta, Silvo is Consigleri to tony, not captain. Paulie, chris, bobby and vito are captains. ALthough im not sure if vito still gets the stripes since he takes it up the bum.

... anyway about vito dying, i think he is destined too because all of the other captains of the Aprile crew have died. (2 killed by sopranos 2 of natural causes)
