Theres an option were you can have it runing only as your screansaver if you are worried about CPU usage
I have contributed to similar things before. There might be an option to run it as a system thingymowidget instead of a less efficient program.
I'll not be contributing to this particular effort because my PC is hundreds of miles away, and this laptop (aka Frankenstein's science project) doesn't have a lot of clout - but I offer moral support

When it's on it uses like 95-99 percent of the CPU, but it's priority is automatically set to "Low" so you can even use the PC with it running on the background and it won't bother you. (I can play HL2/Civ3 while it's on the back, and the game will use the needed amount of CPU, and the last priority is for the UD Agent) So no problem here.

I've switched over from Team RegCancerbusters (The Register, where I first heard about this) and as I've not had a machine actually running it in months, added my home workstations. 
Hmmm it says 13 members on the team, but only lists 6 - BirdJaguar, DamnYankee, Dease, me, dolby71, and SupperSalmon - what happened to the other 7?
