Im not having problem with city growth..
the bigger problem is the corruption! ...

Please say to me what I should do...

Here's what I do, maybe it could help you to answer my question.

Im making spearmans and settlers till I have 4-5 cities..
then I go immortals to kill the aztecs....
but the problem is that I can build with only 2-3 cities cuz the other one are producing with 1 shield only.

Should I continue killing more when I killed the aztec capital? the corruption problem disuades me from continuing... maybe I should but it wouldnt be useful cuz my new cities wouldnt produce anything..

HELP! Thanks ;-)

I know all this... but the problem is :
To build my forbiden palace... i need 300 ***king turns..

...

but thanks anyway ;p

See... heres a screen shot from my game.. the corruption is so high that my gold is going dowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwnnnnnn hell ... maybe you could help me with this

Matrix: I've zipped the former attached picture into this zip file, so that others don't see the map immediately.

On such a small map, if you have too many cities, not even Republic or Democracy or Courthouses will help... you just have to keep corruption on your mind when you capture or build a new city I guess.

I finally made it.. I am now on monarchy and my forbidden palace is finished.... all my cities are producing.... but the problem is :

now that everything's going fine... the babylonians are angry ;D and they're going to kick my ass if I don't react... At least I got the immortals ;D

I am a democracy, with courthouses everywhere and every city in touch with my capital. And the worst city loses only half of it's shields and money.
It's more than in civII, but we must accept that.

So you think that courthouse really change something?

Yes, i think courthouses do matter. Example: one city had 7 out of 10 shields waste without courthouse and 5 out of 10 after building the courthouse.

When you have a city under despotism on an far away island and produces only 1 shield (mayby actually 1/4 shield, but 1 is the minimum ), then a courthouse is useless of course.

So the courthouse would be effective only when a city is connected to the capital and that we are not under despotism?

Yes.
In other words:
You can only handle corruption if you use all possibility's to reduce it.
It make's sense that corruption is this hard to handle, take a look at the history of the world.

Yeah this is true... I read somewhere on the forum "Huge empires always tend to fall".... and this is has been true for every civilization in the world...

I don't think Firaxis should make corruption lower.. it is a good thing to have high corruption... it makes some more strategies possible....

The problem is, most of us that are too used to Civ2 ( ;) ) Can't stand "only half."

When I see this, I can't help but.. but... :vomit:
