Help me with my hideous python error

Dear boppers, I hope you can help me . . . I received an error message when I last ran up CIV4 and was about 75% through the game. The XML is modded, but I haven't yet touched the python, apart from the pyEvent thingy . . . I searched the code in this, but it seemed to be totally kosher! The popup (attached) points at the error being something to do with UNITAI coding, beyond which my knowledge disappears, like the melted snows of last winter.

Here is a screenie, any advice on where to look/how to cure appreciated.

Well, this seems to be related to the World Builder. Did you perhaps leave it up while editing .py files?

What is pyEvent, by the way?

If you dealt with units, then you should check if every unit has in the XML a default AI assigned.

I don't think It'd give him Python Exception. More likely an XML error when load the mod.

I agree that it looks like something is wrong in the XML. Try using this utility (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=433676) just to load up your XML files. It might find the problem for you.

It is amazing, and absolutely works. Sure, it is not as user-friendly as others maybe, but at least it is easy-to-use, and learns from XML, so almost everything can be done with it. I used it to create many long XML easily in my Napoleon Mod.

i should have done this first! the error disappeared, then popped up again; i found a reference to it at http://forums.civfanatics.com/showt...type'+object+attribute+'gettype'#post11105863

i suspect it's a 'create a bunch of units' bit of python, but the unitclass has been disabled in the xml . . .
