The British sent only a handful of Redcoats to quell the Zulu, but Shaka put up quite a fight with his death stacks of impi, eventually the British were able to conquer the Zulu, and Dutch colonies, and get the newly discovered source of gems. South Africa used Representation for the longest time, that "The rest of the world considered them a villain", and in the 1990s, finally switched to Universal Suffrage.

Mao converted to State Property and changed MOST of China's farms into workshops, leading to mass starvation.

He also built lots of forges, and then cancelled them, until eventually hammer decay made the effort completely unproductive.

Canada became a vassal state of England.

America DOWed on England once England demanded too much money to pay for their expensive wars. As a result, America threw off its vassalage and gained independence. However, they had trouble against English redcoats due to their +25% gunpowder bonus. However, woodsman III and guerrilla III muskets helped turn the tide, leading to the battle of Yorktown, where the redcoat bonus didn't matter as much because the Americans had lots of cannon, and thus collateral damage.

Persia's embassy attack event led to a -3 Past Events Have Pissed Us Off Modifier. It also led to the ending of Open Borders and all trade routes between the two countries of Persia and America. Currently, though the two countries are not at war, the modifiers are -10 and the two countries are furious with one another due to different religions, the -3 modifier, and -1 Your Spy Was Causing Trouble. Currently the Persians are trying to build a tactical nuke, which the Americans are sabotaging with spies.

The Mayans were too busy building the Chitzen Itza instead of working the land around them. As a result, the swamps re-claimed all of their territory, leading to their starvation and death.

China chopped too many of their forests, and built too many Coal Plants, leading to massive unhealthiness in their cities.

Before WWII, Italy DOWed on the Ethiopians with Rifles and got their initial stack ass-whooped by fortified Oromo Warriors. Eventually, however, the Italians brought in fighters to bombard city defenses, leading to their victory.

Aztec Jaguar Warriors were no match for Spanish Curraisers, with their higher strength value and +50% melee bonus.

The Native Americans, Aztecs, and Incans lost to the Europeans because they never scouted their surrounding territory, which meant that all three civilizations were pretty much playing in isolation. Thanks to tech trades and foreign commerce, the Europeans got a massive tech lead against pretty much everyone else, which led to the period of colonialism, once Astronomy kicked in.

The Chinese built the Great Wall, thinking that it protected them from barbarians. But the Mongols are a rival civilization, not a barbarian. So they took over China with Keshiks.

It turns out that Cho-Ko-Nus are not that effective against Keshiks.

There's an edit button. Maybe that would be a good idea, instead of that many posts in a row.

EDIT: although I quite like the last two posts you made :)

Hannibal's shock-promoted Numidian Cavalry and elephants decimated Roman praets. Eventually, however, due to being Imperialistic, the Romans got lots of Great Generals, which they used to get a pack of praetorians Formation, giving them a +25% bonus against mounted units, leading to the defeat of Carthage and a humiliating peace treaty.

Shortly afterward the Romans DOWed again, this time razing Carthage and ending its civilization.

Edit button? Bah. Real men don't edit.

Alexander the Great went for a Domination victory, thinking that the map size was small. When that failed, all of his units disbanded from maintenance costs.

The Greeks built the Oracle and got Democracy from it. How that's possible, no one knows.

The Israeli civilization has a -20 with Persia because of several "Past Events," "You Declare War on our Friends!" and "We are upset that you have fallen under the sway of a heathen religion!"

When an Arabian Spy destroyed an American Stock Exchange, the Americans invaded Babylon and Barbarian cities, for some reason...and they somehow killed a Great Spy with Navy SEALS + Gunships.

The above-mentioned stock exchange must have flipped when America flipped NYC in RFC.

Rome's maintenance costs got too high, which largely supported the organized religion when Christianity began to spread, also they relied too much on mercenaries(in RFC) and would eventually succumb to barbarian raids.

How much money do you think the Roman government put into building Christian churches?

    Several things:

The Brits have the Stock Exchange. The Americans only have normal Banks.

Plus, I am not too sure about Spy being the right unit for the job. I would have used Civ2 Fanatics (they still exist in Civ4 in some mods).

Lastly, they didn't kill a GSpy. They killed a GGen.

Nope, it was a glitch. When England liberated the thirteen colonies, the Stock Exchanges didn't change into banks.

In 15 BC, the Maya launched a space ship which successfully reached Alpha Centauri. By 900 AD, most of the civilization had left the earth for Alpha Centauri.

And the Mayans discovered that time victory wouldn't activate at 2050, but at 2012.

    • Despite the UN being built decades before, the AP is still up and running by 1979 when it intervened on the border dispute between Chile and Argentina over Tierra del Fuego. Italy didn't research mass media yet.
    • Massive instability in Libya caused Benghazi and nearby cities to declare independence, and war was declared. For some reason, France attacked Libya instead of the independents.
    • Peace treaties that involve exchanges between the belligerents are impossible, and they usually hack into the servers to make it possible.
    • The Sentinelese people are actually hostile villagers who lost their huts from exploring gunships.

The Libyan War must have been in RFC, and Carthage was the player - when stability got too low and it collapsed, it tried to retake its cities but got declared on by France, which used the UN to get America and England in. They bombarded his defenses, and send gunships, but didn't use infantry or tanks, which meant that the Independent forces had to take the cities by themselves.

Good thing that they did, because Ghaddafi was going to raze the rebel cities.
