Hello All!

What do you think has been the most important, trascendental event that has ocurred in the demogame? The thing that forever changed the history of Fanatika. Was it a war? wich one? or perhaps a trade deal? the election of a person into office or the construction of a road to an all important resource. What do you feel that, without it, Fanatika would be radically diferent today?

I think that the capture of the geat Library is the most important event of the history of magnificient Fanatika.

Without it, we would have been binded to allow such funds to science research and tradung that we could nnot have developped the millitary strengt that we now command.

With it, we were allowed to pass many hundred years not caring about science funding an focusing on our millitary.

I also think the timing of the capture of the GL. Had we been early (and we did get off to a slow start), we wouldn't have gotten it, and who knows where we'd be right now... Maybe term 2 of the 3rd demogame.

A definite turn point, then, would be the First and Second Fanatikan-Aztec Wars. In a mighty swoop, Fanatika almost doubled in size, and we were launched into the position of a great world power.

The next event would be Operation Baka Nippon. When we eradicated the Japanese, we secured our place as the world's largest nation!

Taking into consideration the first three comments, I would have to say that a MAJOR factor in Fanatika's success as a Nation was President Eklektikos' early strategic planning of our militaristic agressiveness. We held true to his early plans and achieved goals laid out for us from turn #1. Most everything else we have accomplished or secured since that turn is due to those plans.

Well, I'd say that the most important Fanatikan event would be the First Chocolate War, due to the rapid growth to Fanatika that resulted.

Capturing the Great Library was the single event that impacted Fanatika most to date. It was almost miraculous that the Aztecs were able to build it in the first place. Then having it fall into our hands a turn or two later was extraordinary. History would have taken a much different course had we not had the Great Library.

Hmmm.. when did the Library fall under our control? under Eklektikos's regime? the aztecs built it right, so that means these events all go together: the aztec war, Eklektikos as pesident and the capture of the Library. Could that be a sort of golden age? what do you guys think?

The GL was captured during Shaitan's reign, as I recall. :)

EDIT: Beaten to the punch by Octavian. Here's hoping he spiked it :mischief:

Did you name it Octavian? was was the city's original name?
So Eklektikos's military stratigies paved the way for our future success in our war endevours?

EA

So we can say that these 3 things where the most important things that ocurred that made it posible to arrive where we are now?

EA

What three things?

The library, Eklektikos early strategic planing and the aztec war. Or is there anything else you guys want to add?

EA

Mmmm, not that they were the most important events in Fanatikan history, but if you're going to write about that period, I would suggest, for honorable mention, the placing of Morgana as our Iron City (enabling us to train Swordsmen), and the Archers at Arrow Point (just North of Eklektochtitlan), where they stood their ground, wounded and outnumbered to defeat an Aztec attack. This enabled us to advance and take the Aztec Capital.
