Hello,

I'm currently playing Alien Crossfire and although i tried very hard to google this I didnt find an answer: I got the Virtual World from Zakharov after i had built some Hologram theaters. Now i thought the game would just delete them from the list of available buildings (since I cant build new ones) and upgrade my network nodes. But I just saw that they are still there although they don't seem to be doing anything (nothing changes expect the portraits of some drones right?)screenshots below, sry

So I assume they are just there without doing anything (no drone control, no upkeep cots, nothing?).
Coming to think of it I maybe should have looked in a "known bugs" thread. Hm hm hm. A you get never too old to learn something about information retrieval.

Anyway, if someone is still visiting this section, pls help me. Thanks :)

Your old hologram theater still costs upkeep but doesn't give you any additional benefit above that of the Virtual World powered network node. If you were to lose the Virtual World it would start being useful again.

I suggest to sell the hologram theaters in all bases that also have a network node.

sorry for the horrible quality

UI WOW that was a superfast reply xD

excellent, thanks a bunch :)

And in SOME cases you won't need any network node in some of your bases and need a holo there.

It's not a glitch, it's a chance to lower your upkeep and earn som cash. Whenever the network nodes are finished sell the theaters and get some energy credits.

Please exsssplain.......

Assuming you have the Virtual World, it is better to have a network node rather than a hologram theatre in any base that needs a hologram theatre, since the maintenance cost for a network node is less.

Since a network node increases lab production by 50%, it is not needed in a base that isn't producing any labs.

And you would need a hologram theatre in a base that had a lot of drones.

The holgram theater is 2 rows cheaper than a network node (6 vs 8). However, I prefer building network nodes for the reduced upkeep even in the unlikely case that the base does not benefit from the research bonus.

(Obviously, this assumes that I possess the VW.)

A base that needs a holo theatre is usually big enough to produce labs unless you have your lab output very low.
