Homefront II: Lords of War

Well, if you're ever interested in evicting the AU, just send us a messgae.

(How much money do you start with?)

$3 without a trade deal. Getting one with another player before the game starts will net you more. It pretty much encourages larger, older nations giving smaller, new ones low-interest loans to fund factory building.

IC: "We're always interested in evicting the AU but they didn't take the West Coast from us by luck. Their armies are hardened warriors and in two months from an outbreak of war, reinforcements would arrive from Pearl Harbor.

Sonereal, you're forgetting the $2 from the trade center players start with.

If you're trading with two factions, does that increase the profit from both routes? (ie, both together is making more money that both alone added up?)

I think everyone makes $5 a turn starting out.

Oh. Starting out. Every starts with $5 in the bank automatically PLUS pre-Update 0 trade PLUS domestic output. So, Omega would be starting out with $8 but only be producing $3.

x-post edit: Indeed I am. $5 per turn plus $5 already in the bank meaning non-trade route nations start off with at least $10. Also, I need to adjust trade data. Add +2 to the numbers I gave you for the trade deal.

RAWR MOAR CROSSPOST EDIT!

What's the formula for trade routes? Is it (Country X's income + Country Y's income) ÷ 2?

(X's GDP (money produced domestically) + Y's GDP)/2

Then subtract distance between closest trade centers

I FREAKING HATE IT WHEN CFC SOMEHOW PRESSES TAB OR SOMETHING AND THEN I'M NOT TYPING ANYMORE - THIS TYPICALLY HAPPENS 1 SECOND BEFORE I PRESS BACKSPACE.

Anyway, trade doesn't increase exponentially? :(

Also you're still forgetting the $2 from the trade center everyone starts with!

As the only Americans left that do not have a trade route yet, I propose one for you.

Should note that the NPCs cheat upkeep, number of trade routes, etc.

Also, we'll happily trade with you guys now that we factored in the math and we both would be bringing in $14. A year contract sound nice?

1. Exponential growth would be OP'd for this game.
2. No I'm not. You only get three starting claims ($3) plus 2 from the TC and $5 "for free" dollars in the bank when you start. I just worked that into my trade math and all it did was increase your trade route income from $14 to $16 because all the numbers just shifted two to the right.

ooc: I meant when you said people only got 8 bucks you weren't adding the 2 from the Trade Center.

And I really don't see how a year will be bad. Unless turns are 1 week.

But in that case, I'll have so much money I can just laserbeam everyone from orbit.

Exponential growth, combined with the way Recession, Good Times, and Depressions work, would make the economy so prone to single trade agreements being canceled that everybody would be bankrupting within two years (24 turns).

Fun.

But, yeah. I don't see myself attacking the US in 12 turns, especially not now.

It's not evil if it's beneficial and only lasts 1 year.

STOP DEMONIZING THE US!!!!!!!111111111onehundredeleven1111!

If no one else is joining, I'll start this up tomorrow (provided my power is on and I'm not burning old newspapers to keep warm). Late comers can always enter whenever and get loans from larger nations.

white ones we flip for (doesn't really matter which ones are flipped for as long as it's three)

I have no idea what to do with Alaska.

Someone can actually start in Alaska and become a banker nation, living off loans, if they wished. Alaska connects to the West Coast when it comes to moving armies and such.

Ooh! I got it! We can march through Canada!

Seriously, if no one else joins, let's just kill all the NPCs.

One.

By.

One.

We can't conquer Alaska if we conquer Canada?
