hotfix for 12/18 version

I just started up a game as Egypt. I've found both the Fountain of Youth and El Dorado and both gave me happiness and their yields appear normally on the map. Importantly neither of them have a city nearby. I just found Cerro de Potosi and no pop-up appeared, I received no happiness and when I mouse over the tooltip says it is mountain. Graphically it is Cerro de Potosi but the game is treating it as a mountain. The only difference between CdP and the other wonders I found is that when I found CdP, Arabia had already settled Medina next to it.

Not sure I'm on the same page with these statements.
I just wanna repeat my point.
All land units gain the ability to cross the ocean after the discovery of Astronomy, as per normal. But later on in the game all land units lose this ability for no reason. Not sure what has it got to do with promotions.

ok, let me rephrase that. what i described above is the intended behavior. anything else is a bug.

now, the problem is, i don't see what could be going wrong there. do you have any more information on when exactly the deep water embarkation is lost?

It may be a save game issue if you changed how promotions (or what promotions) are cached or looked at by the DLL. Saved games generate their own cache of data (which is why adding or removing memory elements, or their interaction with the game, from the DLL will invariably break a save.

bump because new build is up.

- fixed vanishing natural wonders
- more reliable warscore

regarding ocean crossing, this is the logic:
- if the unit has a promotion preventing ocean crossing, no deal
- a sea unit needs a promotion explicitly allowing it or the player can cross in general (polynesia trait or astronomy)
- a land unit needs a promotion to allow deep water embarkation or the player can cross in general (polynesia trait or astronomy)

One question, where stand Great Admirals now?
At the moment they haven't promotion to enter Deep Sea (as today's hotfix). Bug or intended?

last game with only this pack mod, my caravels could NOT enter deep ocean until astronomy. For my land unit or other boats they could after researching astronomy.

And even with the hotfix and the cache cleared still some (but less) pathfinding problem (going for the shortest path and not the fastest)

Okay. I did see this type of behavior only after exiting a game, clearing cache and reloading a save. My units couldn't cross ocean even though I had astronomy. As soon as I hit next tech--any tech--they crossed ocean again. Same with Mountain yields.

But I've yet to do ilteroi's latest (Dec. 22nd) build.

Is the link to the newest version the one in the OP? I wasn't sure because it says that post was last updated yesterday morning.

It's. You can check the date of the file after the download, and it's from today.

I am playing as Polynesia. The Droman can enter deep ocean tiles. Once upgraded to a Galleass it gains the "Cannot enter deep ocean" promotion, and can not enter the deep ocean tiles.

Is this the intended behavior?

This occurs both with and without the hotfix.

Same happened to me.
Sure this is not what was intended:(

Add-on: with the latest hotfix of the hotfix the problem seems to be hotfixed :) Tnx!

ah ok, so that's the reason. it's simply that the promotions are applied inconsistently. don't know how to change that though, need to wait for G

Well, that's probably because the galleass specifically has that promotion penalty, whereas other boats don't receive it. We should probably be giving that promotion to all pre-caravel boats with a specific set of exception rules not to give them to players that can embark on all water (i.e. Polynesia).

How's everyone's warscore been doing since ilteroi's hotfix to it? Mine still seems extremely frigid and hard to get above ~20. That is after capturing ~50% of an AI's cities, killing all its land forces and pillaging half of their lands.

The warscore thing wasn't fixed and are still broken afaik.
