I was gonna call this thread, does inbreeding make you live longer, but then I realzied that my own heritage is a cutlrual mosiac and that I will sadden myself when if someone tells me I ain't inbred enought o live long.
But why is it that people from destered islands like Iceland and hermit Islands of Japan, live to be 100?
Is it the water?
Tell us every trick you know to make us all live to be 100!

Isn't there a point where if enough families move to an area, inbreeding isn't really a problem?

I doubt it would affect longevity at all. I'd say it has more to do with stress levels being lower or something.

I read it was something to do with the diet of the Japanese though i might be wrong. Maybe raw fish and rice is good for you :dunno:

Luck and genetics.

Good diet, regular exercise, etc can only take you so far.

Castration will give you 10-15 extra years according the British program QI. You might wanna to try it.

Go announce that your heritage is a "cutlrual mosiac" on the Stormfront forums you frequent, and tell them you wish you could be as inbred as they are. They'll have plenty of advice for you.

do you mean like, since I'm a man I will not as long as a woman.

Stop the presses! I just discovered that a Reclusive turkish woman in Russia has lived past 100.
I told you! It is always the recluses that live the longest!

I heard exercise will kill you by wearing down your body faster.
And why hasn't somebody wrote a book, called like the "How to Live to 100 Diet" ?

OMG I was banned from Stormfront because they think I'm an Agent.... Canadian cops were discovered on Stormfront and now all have to suffer for it...
And don't start talking racism to me u hear? We have a rule that if you consider yourself white you are white. If you consider yourself 1/8, 1/64, 1/4 black, then you are not white... that is all.

Tell that to the people who lived past 110 and main means were fried in bacon grease.

I'm sure that you can find heavy smokers that live to 90 too.

Chase young women and smoke cigars? Worked for Charles Burns and I like it.

 inbreeding doesn't tend to increase your chance of living longer. It increases the chance that you'll inherit a negative recessive gene and die earlier.

Anyway living several deviations above the normal life expectancy is probably mere luck than anything else.

"Inbreeding" is a bad thing - the more genetic diversity, the better. This is one of the reasons why racism is ridiculously unscientific, and it's why saving endangered species by getting a handful of specimens in the zoo/cloning is not a viable option.

Centenarians are a statistical anomaly; the only way to reliably live that long would be to directly address the problem of aging scientifically. So, I suppose, if you want to live forever, get into biology.

Sometimes inbreeding can bring back a species from the bring. The American Bison is an example.

I don't think it's the castration, but not having to put up with women nagging, whining and complaining.

A species generally becomes functionally extinct once the number of breeding of pairs drops too low. If there were only 5 pandas left in existence, for instance, the species would not be viable.

Depends on the founding stock.

Anyway, as to OP, considering you can't retroactively change to being inbred, diet and exorcise is your best bet.

edit: though there's a pretty decent chance you'll live to 100 anyway, looking at the percentage of people born in 1910 who made it to 100 isn't a good metric for today's youth.

As you did not state what units you wish your age to be measured in on order to reach 100, I recommend choosing something shorter than a year so that the feat is more manageable. In fact, even with a relatively large unit like months I think it is a safe bet to say that you have already lived well past 100.
