What is the definitive fix on the MAF error for Win7-64 bit OS?

Yes, I did read the massive thread "I Fixed The Maf Error... Here Is How!!", but apparently those tricks only work for the 32-bit OS. I am using v.35 of C2C mod, with latest patch to BtS, and all drivers are up-to-date.

I'm running on an i7 rig with 12GB memory and 1GB video card.

Does anyone know how to fix this so I can start enjoying this wonderful game again?

Thanks...

Moderator Action: Since you are experiencing this problem with a mod it has been moved to the appropriate mod subforum.

Also, way back when I worked on this mod, with a 64 bit OS you shouldn't be experiencing MAFs with default settings.

This is actually ours to resolve. A number of MAF errors have been resolved on the latest SVN version but I think some memory leaks may exist still. What version are you running? My advice would be an immediate SVN update so you're at least on the cutting edge and can let us know if you're still getting MAFs. (Note: Some MAF errors MAY be unresolvable once they start taking place but not all.)

(Nice to see ya ls!)

i have not had many MAF's lately, they happen, its more CTD's and the incredibly annoying "cannot allocate video card resources" bug

Or a lot of those video errors may be from accidentally starting loading the mod more than once. I've noticed that was the problem for me on a few occasions.

I assume you are using view ports, I believe they are supposed to reduce MAFs late game.

I thought viewports were obsolete with the tech change that was done a couple of versions back when only things in the active window and immediate surrounding was actually loaded?

a teensy update, i get _a lot_ less errors when i turn off wonder movies, high res textures, and unique buildings in world view mode. maybe a thread should be made about what steps can be taken to minimize the amount of memory used on "irrelevant" stuff?

Turning the movies on/off in the game options (Ctrl-O) has no effect on memory. The movie is loaded at the time it is played.

Sorry DH - I have to disagree. In the past I have had memory crashes, just as a movie was about to play. So I now turn them off.

EDIT.
More detail.

I had saved a game before EOT. When I reloaded and pressed enter, as the movie was about to play the game crashed. Tried a couple of more times - same result.

Changed the options to NO Movies, reloaded and the game continued.

This is what happened to me as well, wonder movie gave me the graphics memory out of bounds error (dont remember what it says) when i turned off wonder movies, i havent had that problem since. However i at the same time disabled advanced terrain textures, and show unique buildings in global view mode, so it could have been either of those 2 as well
