how do you leave the UN

Why weren't you powerful enough to not have them win?

thats completely lame
someone mod that crap out
That'd kinda defeat the purpose of the UN now, wouldn't it?

Might as well mod out the UN.

As it stands your best bet in a game is to make sure you are Secratary General of the UN and just never put forth anything to be voted on.

Start a game without diplomatic victory and you'll be fine.
No he won't. He is irritated at the civics they vote in and force on the entire world. Eliminating the diplomatic victory as an option doesn't change that behavior.

Actually, I was under the impression that the UN can't be built with diplomatic victory turned off. If that is indeed the case, it would prevent civics from being forced on the poster in future games.

Good idea. Time to mobilize my Deutsche Reich and destroy the dang Gandhists.

i too think you should be able to leave. perhaps a trade bonus or another type of bonus for being in it, that way a majority of civs join it, but you could leave if you didnt want to wage war without the military civics turned on.

for starters, you nominate john r bolton as your ambassador, who is on record as saying no one would miss them if 10 floors of the UN building went missing.

then, ...

oh, that's RL, nevermind :)

A. razing the city with the UN will not eleminate it :)
B. turning off the diplomatic victory conditions does not preveny the UN from being built, or issues from being voted on, it simply doesn't let u win by being elected world president or whatever the UN victory title is (not sec. general).

I do think you should have a "Disagree" button if the resolution is passed and you can do whatever. You would have a pretty big diplomatic decrease in relations, but still.

Poor loler.
If I want to play civ all day and don't have any income to pay for livin' & civin', WHY DO I HAVE TO GO TO A BLEEPIN' JOB!??

i have played without diplomatic victory, and the UN wonder did not appear to be buildable.

I wonder if anyone has done the same?

Being able to leave the UN would be great. It would have the advantage of not being controlled by them, but the disadvantage of not being able to vote. They might sneak a victory over you!

=$= Big J Money =$=

this thing is completely broken
who says i want to follow the UNs pathetic resolutions
i want my fascits civics
