This guy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oruç_Reis who I found out about while reading "empires of the sea" a pretty good book (in my opinion) concerning the struggle between the Ottomans and the Christians in the mediterranean during the 1500s.
I didnt have the letter "ç" on my computer so I just went with c.

Hobbs for the most part nailed the way I pronounce people's usernames here. Except for like, Zelig, which I pronounce with an "e" more akin to "leg", rather than "a".

Also I have no idea how to pronounce synsensa, so I do the Mise thing

It's a latinised version of a danish name, so it should be easy if you know latin. But I don't, so maybe I'm the one doing it wrong.

BTW Daniel Radcliffe mentioned Tucho Brahe in the latest episode of Have I Got News for You. I could hardly recognise the name.

Annyway, I say it with a danish "y", ty-koh ˈbraːə
