I sound really stilted today, I guess because I know I'm being recorded or something.
 
My English teacher described my accent as... what was it... German? German-American? Dunno, something like that. anyways, you tell my mother.
 
Well, OK. But he did sound to have a, vaguely, American accent to my ear - though it was only a brief sample. I was interested because in the past I've mistaken Spanish speakers for East Europeans.
