This comes after we had quite a debate at school, I never knew there is another version of it.

Do you sing:

ABCDEFG-HIJKLMNOP-Q-R-S-T-U-V-W-XYZ?

Or:

ABCDEFG-HIJKLMNOP-LMNOPQRST-UVW-XYZ?



How do I add a poll? :confused:

Here in the US, we sing the English alphabet with the same tune as Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. If you want to hear it, search for a midi of it. We definitely don't sing the second version you wrote above.

That second version is a typo, isn't it? You got LMNOP twice.

To make a poll you had to have selected 'make poll' before sending it the first time. If you failed to do that, only a moderator can add it.

Phlegmak is right, and we put an 'and' at the end between the last two letters "y and z".
 
This thread is little spammy, but I'll say that I don't sing it.
 
I sing it backwards. The drunks that lived in the dorm room next to mine my freshman year of college got pulled over by the cops one night and had to recite the alphabet backwards as part of their field sobriety test. After that, every time they got drunk, the would practice singing the alphabet backwards. I picked up the habit. It is now actually easier for me to do it when drunk than when sober.
 
I learned to sing it like this: A B C D E F G - H I J K L M N - O P Q R S T U - O P Q R S T U - V X Y Z Æ Ø Å - otteogtyve skal der stå!

The last part sort of translates to "28 is the number"

A-B, C-D, E-F-G. H-I, J-K, L-M-N-O-P. Q-R-S, T-U-V, W-X, Y and Z. (Now I know my ABCs. Next time won't you sing with me?)

I always get the alphabet wrong anyway, ABCDEFGHIJKLONOP, always repeat O for some reason

Isn't OPQRSTU supposed to be repeated two times only?

Anyway, I learned it like this:

A B C D E F G - H I J K L M N - O P Q R S T U - V X Y Z Æ Ø Å - otteogtyve skal der stå, nu må læreren gerne gå.

The part that Yoda hasn't translated means "the teacher can leave now"
