Because I would like to do that.

Also I would like to edit the title because it unfortunately ended up with a spelling mistake but perhaps with improvement in technology one day man will be able to do that we can only hope.

just rename it from *.Civ4WorldBuilderSave to *.CivWarlordsWBSave.
but remember: it will only work with maps! not with scenarios if they use a vanilla mod.

OK how do you change the file name to that then. Can't just change a file name ???

just click a 2nd time on it (no double-click, just a *click--wait a moment--2nd click*) or right-click it and select rename (i hope it is called rename in english windows) in the drop-down. :)

i forgot: first copy the map into the warlords\publicmaps-folder and rename it there.

All that does is change the name of the file not the File folder name, ie: CIV.WorldBuilderSave File, needs to be CIV.CIVWARLORDSWBSAVE File, and if i do what you say, all it does is change the CIV part, not the Worldbuilder part to CIVWARLORDSWBSAVE File.

Coldfever has adapted all the Vanilla maps here, so they can beused in Warlords.

You need to uncheck 'Hide extensions for known file types' under Windows Explorer -> Tools -> Folder Options. This should then allow to change 'WorldBuilderSaveFile' to 'CIVWARLORDSWBSAVE'

Works great thanks.:goodjob:

I'm afraid I don't have enough experience with Civ4 to understand how to follow your instructions.

I've attached the save-game (which is pretty neat, by the by) from Civ4 that I wish to use as a map, or ideally with the same players, in Civ4:Warlords.

I've tried saving the map in the WorldBuilder, and importing it as you adviced, but I'm just getting an error-message along the line of "...could not open file...".

Perhaps I need to start a new game in Civ4:Warlords with the exact same settings as for the saved game in Civ4 in order for me to be able to import the map?

EDIT: Ah, forgive my stupidity. It works fine, I just chose the wrong file to rename. Ah, I do believe I shall try for an army of 400 XP.
