See title.
I'm an old hand doing art from Civ IV. Is the .nif format still in use, or are things all different now. Is there a quick intro to making stuff for Civ V, assuming already competent knowledge of blender.

There has been no progress nor any success in creating Civ5 art, other than icons.

I thought firaxis wanted this to be a moddable game. What's going on ?

What format are they in, what is known about it, has anyone asked firaxis directly? what did they say ?

The whole procedure looks rather unnecessarily more complex than it ought to be, but proof of concept is great. I'll have to give it a try when I can.

This is mainly because it's technically completely impossible to do at the moment due to the bugs in Nexus. We just found crafty ways to circumnavigate the problems. :D

Once Nexus is repaired the process will be cut a fair bit, probably.

I'm also toying with some kind of 'wizard' based system that would export your models straight from our tool, with all the xml and stuff done and therefore largely just the ModBuddy stuff to deal with, but I'm having trouble getting it working at the moment.
