kraftwerk, are you serious with this topic?
Well, look at this (sorry for this commercial ):
Game of the Month . This is solely administrated by me. Every month I get more than 30 submissions and I have to implement then into Excel and make html pages of it to let the people see how they did. Furthermore I try to improve the GOTM (although it's actually quite finished now). Also, I like to play Civ1 and Civ2 just for fun. And I also follow every development about Civ3 on the internet.
I by no means want to boast here - I believe you'd even find this pathetic - but let me tell you that I do have other activities I like. I study chemistry, I'm in the activity committee, in the sort-of-
reception committee (I don't know the English word for
"borrel" ), I like to play snooker and laser quest, and I have a lovely girlfriend who doesn't know anything about computers, but finds it great I do all this. I also got more than enough friends, thank you.
But a question to you: is it bad when a computer game is a hobby of someone? Are hobbies only restricted to things in
the real world? Is it better to be obsessed by e.g. Magic - the Gathering or interest in steam locomotives? You know, actually I haven't been more happy in my life than today. Suming this up, I think I have everything I desire: girlfriend, friends, hobbies...I'm never bored. After my study is over I can make myself useful in science. I'm not troubling anyone...
What's your problem??
