Just a simple pool, almost 6 months from release (What was, early February?)
How many of you guys bought a copy of Civ 7?
Whom of you is holding on for a special offer like a Black friday or something else.
Who is just not interested as it stands
Who is never going to buy it because it seems unredeemed able?

A hour ago i had my first Civ7 game where i really had some fun!
But on a friend‘s pc. I start to think about if i can swallow my pride and ignore Denuvo… but not for the current price, so yeah. Black Friday, Steam Autumn Sale or Winter Sale if i ignore the fact that Denuvo will be on board. We will see, but i can now see some beauty in Civ7, the game can be saved, needs updates, modding tools and modding capabilities for that.

Preordered it, played it 1 hour 13 mins on realease, asked for redeem, got my money back, never turned back.
Best decision in my life. :)
Sadly Ed Beach and his team killed the franchise completely.

Purchased the game early with all the bells and whistles (just the digital ones, not the trinkets to put on a shelf),

Still haven’t gotten more than a few hours fooling with it. Lost interest but hope to find it again

if the current pace of the civ7 modding scene is anything to go by, I expect most of them will've been done by the time I get my hands on the game

i pre ordered it and i already played it for 500hrs and i'm loving it. I only use AI mods that don't change the games design or the way it plays so many of the mods that get released don't interest me.

I did get the game, yes. :)

I have the base game. I have a few hundred hours into it. I played a fair bit after the last patch, but not currently playing. The dlc is too pricey for what they offer and won't be buying them until they are reasonably priced.

It's a good game despite popular opinion, but certainly missing something. It doesn't feel as immersive and "epic" as Civ 6. The lack of identity due to civ switching is one reason for this. I can't help but think something else is missing, not sure what.

i think a good development team been missing.

I've bought the Founder's edition on release, I do kind of regret not just getting the basic version, because I feel like the DLC's aren't really worth the price tag. I've played it a bit in the first weeks of release, but quickly felt like I've seen everything the game had to offer. Not playing it at the moment, but keeping a close eye on the updates. Think a lot will have to change before I'll give it another chance though.

Bought Founder's Edition. Played for 951 hours as of this writing. Still craving for more civs to fill some gaps.

I hope they price the DLCs lower because the entry price is too steep imo.

I pre-ordered Deluxe because the 5 day early release window offered me a full week to play the game on release vs. just a couple of days. Plus, I wanted to sample the DLC hoping it would be worth the $30 they were charging for it - but I was certain the DLC was NOT going to be worth the $30 price tag. (Which is why I opted out of the Founder's Edition trying to double down) I figured the DLC would be worth maybe $15-20 and I was paying $10-15 extra to get it early so I could actually spend some time with it when it released. Something I am really opposed to about the video game industry, but DLC and paid content access are now a part of the industry and it was worth it to get the game early this one time for me.

I am mostly just OK with the purchase. I am not "loving it" or "hating it" but have been enjoying it. My schedule and lifestyle currently has me struggling to keep up with the updates rolling out every month. Each one has been pretty decent sized changes too, but unfortunately are offering things that have always been standard on release. (huge maps, marathon mode, auto explore, etc.) I am interested to see what they plan to do with the new core design of the game. I need to get on the discord and check that out but free time is a rare commodity for me right now. I am still looking forward to hopefully being involved in and following the maturity of this Civilization title.

pre ordered founders... played around 400h so far, really like the game but I'm not totally convinced I'll get to 3500h+ like I did with V and VI... remains to be seen how good a job they make at enhancing the game in the year to come

Son has a copy on PlayStation so I will get a peek, but I can't image I'd ever spend anything on it.

I'm owner of the standard edition, which I purchased somewhat after release. Not regretting the getting this, but also glad to not have not pre-ordered the founder edition. I'm coming back to the game mainly after patches and follow its development closely. Should it one day arrive at a level where enough of the shortcomings, vacancies and personal pet peeves (like edge scrolling) have been solved, I'm will consider buying DLC with additional civs/leaders; currently it's just not wroth, IMO (price too high plus impact of more civs/leaders is limited as long as gameplay has issues and holes)
