How often do you hear police sirens?

Once or twice a week just because I live in a district where crime rate is low.

About once a week I'd guess. Ambulances every day since I live pretty close to the hospital.

A couple of times every year. I guess that is almost never compared to you guys. It has increased dramatically since I moved. In my old town I never heard police sirens except for demonstrations when my school visited the police house.

police sirens: Well, can't even remember the last time I heard one.
ambulance and firefighters: roughly about once a week. Even around New Year's eve I dont hear many of them.

I don't hear sirens too often but I regulary see Police and Army landrovers drive about and set up checkpoints.

I hear sirens every day, ambulances several times a day and the police quite often as well, probably also several times a day on average.

I live next to a hospital and I work in a big academic hospital. Sirens all day. At least 20 a day I would say...

Now that I am a comfortably numb suburbanite, once a week. When I lived in downtown DC, I could count how many times an hour.

My neighborhood has become much quieter. Ten years ago it was 20+ times a day with frequent gunshots. Now it is once or twice a day and I only hear gunshots five or six times a year.

when i lived in zurich, maybe 3 times a day
when i lived in London, 10+ times a day
when i worked in basildon, 20 times a day (but i was the one operating them then )

3 or 4 times a day, but I live on one of the biggest streets heading to the hospital... so I guess that's normal.

Several times a day..a few weeks ago there was a drug bust at the house down the street. That was interesting.
