which reminds me, why did they make the biggest whore in byzantium as leader for in the civgame?
A better question is; why they didn't make all the leaders massive whores? Typhoid Mary never gets any respect.

By the same token, Theodora didn't really have much to recommend her either. She wasn't in charge, she didn't do much that was really awesome, and the anecdote of her providing a strong backbone for wavering Justinian in the Nika revolt hardly puts her on a par with great leaders like Basil II.
 
Almost always. A treaty made with me isn't worth the fictional paper its written on. If I see opportunity I'll take it.
