how to disable some spawns?

I would like to mod-mod my erebus mods so that when the "Wild Mana" option is turned on, only the first creature spawns as the node guardian - that is, the extra mana nodes wont overflood the world with powerful creatures.

The sole intent is having ONE immobile guardian appear on nodes - and defeating this ONE guardian earns the node.

This would also help the AI since the only "real" mana it has comes from the palace buff option some erebus mods have.

So is there an "easy mode" way to change these spawns to "one" instead of an army?
