Hi

Ok so i'll try to say this as simple as i can:

I created X-building. X-building is researched with X-technology. X-auto produces X-units for X-civilization.

I created Y-building. Y-building is researched with Y-technology. Y-auto produces Y-units for Y-civilization.

X=Scandinavian
Y=German

Flavor Screen:

X=Scandinavian ||| has 0% Relationship with ||| X=Scandinavian
Y=German ||| has 0% Relationship with ||| Y=German

I assume anything thats not mentioned in flavors the AI thinks is for everyone to use.

If i wanna make sure only Scandinavia can use Scandinavian stuff and Germany only use German stuff how the heck do i do the flavor part?

It looked too confusing to me since day 1 civ 3 was released.

You could assing a non-era tech to germany and Scandinavia.

the building will require this tech to be buildable. then u could set a resource or a oter building as a othere requirement for that building. so only nations with both. the non era tech and the resources , improvements can build it.

Ahhhh i see... I wouldnt have thought of it. Also I got a building that is of high priority for the AI to build (at least i want it to be a priority in my list, or the AI will fall behind), but they are all nonchalant about it and procrastinate on it resulting in them falling behind the human player quite a bit.

If i want them to make that building a priority i just have to flavor it by 100% right? Thanks

ZergMazter... Flavor doesn't set who can build something but tries to apply more desire to build it.
If you want the AI to build the Improvement or Wonder, make sure it provides benefits the AI strongly wants and needs. This can be that the Improvement or Wonder is a Requirement for another Great Improvement or Wonder and or the Improvement Produces desired Units and provides More Trade, Happiness, Food, etc...

If the 1st "Building" is a Great Wonder, this Wonder could place some other Improvements in all other Cities as well as another Improvement in all cities on the Continent. The Improvements could be flagged to require a Resource to start producing units that can take place later when they get the required resource.

...just because a Wonder places Improvements in all Cities, the Improvement does not have to start producing. That depends on the Required Resource to be able to build the Improvement in the first place. The Wonder simply places the Improvements before they can be Directly built so the Improvement is there but cannot produce until the required Resource is obtained.

If the Improvement produces Units, those Units could be Upgrade Type Units that will upgrade later with a certain Tech or Resource. This way the Units that are produced initially, would not have to have Great Power and they could also be immobile or what ever settings you like.

...in any case, there are several ways to entice the AI to build an Improvement or Wonder as well as many ways to manipulate what those Improvements and Wonders do both immediately and long term.

Hi

You could accomplish this with a unit upgrade chain, and you wouldn't even need to worry about the flavor in the editor.

Well i was trying to make buildings that auto-produce units the AI never builds from the build list but only make it available for the AI since humans dont have a problem building w/e the heck we wanna build. If these buildings applied to humans then we would be getting a sad advantage over the already dumb AI.
