How to get a stack trace?

I've noticed most Firaxis error messages initiate a stack trace of function calls. Is it possible to do this ourselves, or does it require something from Firaxis' implementation of it unavailable to us?

I'm guessing this is not possible. It's unfortunate they blocked modders from using the standard lua api "debug" functions. It makes it so hard to... debug.
